 Rules & Regulations
Age Proof
Birth certificate registered within one year
of birth is compulsory for age group prize.
System Of Play
The tournament will be played under the
FIDE Laws of Chess and Swiss system.
Total 10 rounds shall be played unless
otherwise decided by the Tournament
Committee/Chief Arbiter.

Session
The rate of play shall be 90 minutes each
with an increment of 30 seconds per move

Chess Clock
Players are requested to bring their own
DGT chess clock if available.
Tie-Breaks
Protest
Latest Tie Break system as approved by
AICF & FIDE will be applied.
Prize Money will not be shared.
Protest, if any against the decision of the
chief arbiter shall be made in writing
with a protest fee of 500/- within
30 minutes of the occurrence
of the incident. The protest fees will be
refunded if the appeal is upheld. Appeals Committee
Before the commencement of the
tournament, a five members committee
Mobile & Wrist shall be formed by the organizers.

Watches
As per AICF Guidelines Electronic Devices,
Phones, wrist watches, Bags
strictly not allowed inside tournament hall.
Interpretation
For interpretation of the rules & deciding any point
not covered by the above rules of the tournament,
the decision of the tournament committee shall be final & binding on all.
The tournament committee has every right to make
any decision or amendment to those rules, without notice.
Such changes will however be displayed in the tournament hall.
 Registration
All participants in the Fide Rated Event should be registered with AICF
for the year 2019-20. The participants are informed that AICF player’s
registration is mandatory and it should be done well before
participating in any tournament.

Note: One passport size (less than 1 MB) photograph in jpeg format
should be uploaded.
AACA registration for 2019-20 is compulsory for Assam players.
Guwahati Chess Association registration for 2019-20 is compulsory for
Guwahati players.
