Brush size and opacity
Use the sliders to adjust your brush size
and opacity on the fly. Drag away from the
slider for more precision.

You’ll see this screen if you haven’t yet
imported any brushes. Simply tap the Import
button to get started.

drag the brushes down to reveal the Import

Smudge
 Blend colours
Select Smudge and drag your finger over
the area you wish to blend.

 Adjusting the smudge
Use higher Opacity values to produce a
more aggressive smudge. Using different
brushes will allow textured smudging effects.

Eraser
 Adjusting the eraser
Higher opacity values increase how
heavily you erase with each stroke.
Change the brush to get different erasers
for different effects.

Gallery
 Gallery overview
Tap on any artwork to open it. Hold and
drag artworks to reorder. Tap the + button to
make a new document.

Hold the + button and swipe to

Colour
 Colour interface
Select the hue you want by dragging the Hue
selector or tapping the Hue Ring. Drag or tap
in the disc to adjust brightness and saturation.

Pinch the disc to see a larger colour range
of your selected hue.

The comparison colour will show the colour
that was active when you invoked the Colour
interface, and the colour that will be selected
when you dismiss the menu.

Tap the comparison colour to reset it.

Save your favourite colours for repeated use.

Tap and hold on a swatch to reveal
the option to delete a swatch.

 Eyedropper tool
Tap and hold on the canvas to bring up the
eyedropper. Let go over a desired colour to select
it and keep painting.

You can adjust the delay before the eyedropper

appears in Settings app > Procreate.

Undo/redo
 Undo & Redo
Tap the text in the top left corner to undo one
step at a time. There are a total of 250 undo/
redo steps recorded in Procreate Pocket.

Tap–hold the Undo button to redo.

Layers
 Layers
Tap a layer to select it, or tap + to make
a new one. Drag layers to reorder them.
Swipe right to engage Alpha Lock.

 Layer Actions
Swipe left to reveal buttons to Duplicate and
Delete a layer. If you have only one layer,
you can clear it instead of deleting it.

 Layers Menu
Tap the selected layer to show the menu. Select
the contents of the layer, transform the contents,
or merge the layer into the one below.

 Blend Modes
Tap the Blend Mode button on a layer to show
the blend modes, organised by groups.

Adjustments
 Accessing Adjustments
Tap the Tools Menu, then tap Adjustments
to access five filters you can use to tweak
your art.

Each adjustment affects the current layer.
Slide your finger across the screen horizontally
to change the value of the adjustment.

Changes the opacity of the layer, affecting
the visibility of surrounding layers.

Blurs the layer. Larger values increase
the strength of the blur.

 Freehand selection
Use the selection tool to isolate elements of
your art for specific alterations.

Once you have a selection you can copy

it, clear it, transform it, or apply paint or
adjustments just to that area.
