Who we are
● Ponco started in 1972 and has over 4 decades of experience in the
offshore drilling industry.

Health & Safety
● Ponco is committed to the Health and Safety of all its stakeholders.
● We send our crew for safety and competency training, and skills upgrading
at schools and training centers that meet international standards.
● Our certifications are always genuine (something our clients demand and
appreciate) and can be verified with the relevant authorities.
● Employees good health is vital to us and we send our employees for regular
medical check-ups and encourage healthy work life balance. Ponco provides
free healthy lunches to all its employees on all working days.
● Ponco models it's occupational health and safety standards based on OHSAS:
18001 and is targeting to get certified in the near future.
Environment
● Ponco recognizes it has an important role in society,
and aims to achieve a sustainable long term relationship with all
its stakeholders.
● Ponco employees have been promoted from Ponco to direct client employment
including senior drilling positions being obtained up to the 5th gen rig OIM level
● Logistics crews multi lingual and proficient record keeping and various
reporting techniques required by Indonesian regulation and individual client
needs.
● Ponco has supplied office based staff which liaise well with Expatriate staff
and Ponco field staff for crew and logistical needs
Ponco’s Experience
● Ponco has integrated crew training into Client’s training matrix – Eg. SMS & WWC
(World Wide Competency)
● Training for both operational and safety aspects is monitored, scheduled and
controlled by the interface between onboard translators (Ponco) & Client Safety
personnel.
● Ponco Safety Management System (SMS) has been audited and satisfied
Clients’ contractual requirements and Indonesian legal & regulatory requirements
● Ponco’s admin & finances has been audited multiple times, proving
established processes and good governance, both with Clients’ policies as well as
with Indonesian tax and legal regulations

later, to north of Bali with Petromer Trend Corporation.

● Dowell Schlumberger
Warehousing and bulk plant operation for cement and chemicals.
Contracting of warehouse and bulk plant and running stock operation for both P.T. Baroid Indonesia and
Dowell at Total Indonesia’s Charlie Base in Bintuni, PAPUA.
History - 1981
● Zapata North Sea Inc.
In 1981, the ship Investigator moved location for Phillips Petroleum to Balikpapan with Union Oil and P.T. Ponco’s service
contract moved to Balikpapan also.
Zapata acquired a new rig in Jakarta and P.T. Ponco Susetyo Sakti was awarded the labour contract for the Enterprise, a Jack-up.
In October 1981, Zapata requested for 2 crew from us to pick up their Jack-up Rig “Heritage” in Singapore and ride it back to the
Java Sea and eventually to supply the labour on this rig as well. This increased our service contract for Zapata, to a three-rig
operation – 2 in the Java Sea, and 1 on Balikpapan.

1980
● Zapata Drilling Barge Rig-11, the “Investigator” started drilling for Phillips Petroleum Company offshore in Irian Jaya and P.T.
Ponco Susetyo Sakti won the contract to supply labour on board the drill-ship.
● Robray Offshore Drilling PONCO again won a contract to service their Heli Rig- 4, for Amoseas in Nauka near Merauke (South
Papua) for a two-well contract and these operations lasted from July 1980 through February 1981.

● Phillips Petroleum Company Indonesia (Salawati– PAPUA)
Base camp and pipe line maintenance for Phillips Petroleum on Salawati Island, near Sorong, Irian Jaya and related support services.
