This website provides examples of how multimedia learning benefit students by providing
teachers with research-based practices. When teachers integrate technology and multimedia
tools, students are engaged, and learning becomes interactive. Sharing the tools in this

This technology integration website provides examples of how teachers can use technology
models, such as the TPACK or SAMR, to implement and incorporate technology into their
classroom. These models use a variety of research-based teaching practices. The TPACK uses
pedagogical and technological knowledge to enhance the lesson while the SAMR assists the
teacher in selecting and incorporating technology into their lessons. The presentation located in
the models for technology integration section provides information, samples and suggestions for
how to select the right tool for integrating technology. Teachers have access to a variety of
content in their tool belt to help get them started in incorporating technology within their own
classroom.
By providing teachers with a variety of media tools located in the website, teachers will have
opportunities to differentiate their lessons by integrating technology. Some examples that are
listed on the website are video, audio, text, sound, screen capture software, and webform tools.
Many additional tools and reviews are located in the web-based environment section of the
website. By incorporating just a few of these media tools, teachers can create presentations,
interactive activities, websites and virtual reality platforms, and a variety of other engaging

activities that can meet the needs of those students who may need visual or auditory
reinforcement for learning. When teachers utilize inquiry-based learning opportunities such as a
mind mapping tool like Popplet, or differentiated digital reading activities, teachers can create
engaging and personalized learning. Once teachers have access to a variety of content that is
technology enriched, they can provide students with hands on and interactive learning
experiences.
When teachers have access to media tools, they are more likely to use these tools within their
own classroom and share with their students. When students have opportunities to engage and
interact with others, they can learn to solve real world problems and interact in ways through
social media and collaboration. Included in the website are examples of tools to interact and
engage students’ collaboratively, such as iMovie, Garage Band, and Pickit Images. The media
tools included are tools to create videos, audio, images and movies. Using these tools can create
opportunities for teachers and students alike to share information and collaborate with others.
Students can create podcasts, movies and presentations that share and inform their peers.
Providing teachers with examples of media tools such as web forms and assessments to
gauge the learning styles of their students, can help them learn how to meet the specific needs of
their students. Teachers can use Google Forms to create short surveys to learn about their
students learning styles or assign quick exit tickets to provide students with additional feedback.
When teachers use a variety of different multimedia applications, they can provide students with
opportunities that include visual, auditory and kinesthetic experiences, which helps students
embrace their learning style (Raja & Kumar, 2010). Teachers can also adjust the content and
delivery of the media tools to meet the individual needs of their students based on their learning
styles.

In addition, this website provides teachers with information on what a flipped classroom is
and how it can be used in a second-grade classroom. Implementing a flipped classroom can
provide teachers with opportunities to increase student collaboration and discussion. It also
provides teachers the ability to meet the individual needs of the students by providing them
continuous access and review of the curriculum. It also frees up the teacher to provide direct
