IIT Ropar has successfully wrapped up following social projects:-

• IIT Ropar Run – A Mini Marathon where 432 participants gave the message of 'Swacchta‘

• Blood Donation Camp – IIT Ropar successfully organized Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with
BloodConnect

• Enactus Project – Project “DHUN”; aim to bring traditional artists, from very humble backgrounds and
provide them platform to perform and earn money.

• Enactus Project – Launched Punjab’s first e-swasthya centres.

• IIT Ropar organized a tree plantation drive where more than 1000 trees were adopted under the
“Green Your Campus Program” initiative.

• Enactus Project – Project “VASTRA”; setting up an entrepreneur who collects clothes from various
institutions and then distributes them to needy communities at minimal costs

Blood Donation Camp
Blood donation camp
BloodConnect, IIT Ropar in collaboration with LIC was a great success in
organized a blood donation camp. This camp also which around 2000
marked the 8th anniversary of BloodConnect. people participated
and 1501 people
donated blood.

In the spirit of Republic Day and Swachcha
Bharat, IIT Ropar organised a mini-marathon
on 26th January 2018.

IT Ropar is
organizing a quarter
marathon of 11 KM on
the auspicious day of Gandhi
Jayanthi, 2nd October with
the main theme of "Swachh
Bharat, Swasth Bharat"

Project “VASTRA”
Under this project, we are setting up an entrepreneur who
collects donations of clothing from various colleges and
other institutions and then distributes them to needy
communities at minimal costs. This entrepreneur, from a
similar economic background, will also be making a
marginal profit to serve his family.

Project “DHUN”
Enactus IIT Ropar strive to bring such artists, from
very humble backgrounds, those who struggle to
make their ends meet, into the fore, into the public
eye where they can use their art not only to earn
their bread but to be recognized as artists who carry
forward the folk music and the culture of their region.

Project ‘Shakshar’
Students of IIT Ropar visit villages and local
government schools often to teach students
basic arithmetic and life skills.
