 PREFACE

Motivation is one of the most important factors affecting human behavior and
performance. This is one of the reasons why managers attached great importance
to motivation in organizational settings. Lipper has called “Motivation has the
core of management.” Effective directing leads to effectiveness, both at
organizational and individuals level. This requires the understanding of what
individuals want from the organizations. However, what individuals want from
the organization has not been fully identified.

It is necessary to provide a compendium of the latest information and

accumulated data. In the following pages, an attempt has been made to achieve
the objectives regarding the “Employee Motivation.”
