Resume

Mechanical engineering jobs usually use resumes instead of a CV. Engineering companies

typically do not want to see outrageous resumes, they want to go straight to the point to make

sure you have all of the listed requirements for the job. My idea for my resume was to keep it

clean, short and simple. That is why I choose this format because it seemed to be organized

and helped keep my accomplishments flowing without becoming too much. I wanted to

illustrate my skills, by first saying where I attended school and the courses I completed. This

then helped me list the skills I have received from these classes and past experiences. Because

I am only a sophomore, I do not have that much experience, but I still qualify for the position

that I wanted because of how much I learned in the past two years. Over the past summer I

worked the past year for a company that is not engineering related, but I gained enough skills

from it that helped me gear towards the field I am studying. By listing this, it tells future

employers that I have at least some knowledge about the working field and how well I can

work with others.
