RESUMEN
SUMMARY
The objective of the present study was to determine the presence of HPV in
patients with diagnostic of ASC-US by PAP related with the grade, viral type and
age. We included 70 patients, by PCR technique we identificate virus precense.
The resoults showned positivity for viral DNA in 55,71% (39cases). Range age
was 39-48 years. The 39 cases, 22 were consider of high grade viral DNA
(31,43%); 13 cases for moderate grade (18,57%) and 4 cases for low grade
(5,71%). For the high grade virus (31,43), 16 type was the most frecuent.
The high incidence of HPV of high oncogenic risk suggests that it should be
considered like a complementary method to evaluate to the cervical biopsies with
diagnosis of ASC-US.
