THE CAMPUS
Gautam Buddha University has 511 acres of lush green campus at Greater Noida beside
Yamuna Expressway has the builtup area of 8,000,000 sq.ft. The fully residential campus
is modelled in line with the best institutions of higher learning across the globe. The
design of the Gautam Buddha University is an integration of buildings, landscape, art,
sculpture, and environment. These all complement each other and give a unique identity
to the campus.

The University campus has an Administrative Block, eight Schools of Learning with
auditorium and conference facilities, Central Library, University Auditorium with 3000 seating
capacity, Sports Complexes, Health Care Centre etc.

A Meditation centre, named as Mahatama Jyotiba Phule Dhyan Kendra, is a grand domed
structure echoing the architectural symbolism of Buddhist Stupa. The stupa, as per the
Buddhist ritual and devotional practice has a path for circumbation, or paradakshina. It
is designed to visually tie the earth with the sky when viewed in the horizon.

Bodhisattva Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Pustakalaya (Central Library) is a structural marvel
designed with inspirational inputs from the Buddhist Traditions of Learning. The Library
building, situated at the centre of the Gautam Buddha University Campus, symbolises the
Crown of Buddha and the Eight Paths of learning in Buddhist Tradition and Practices.
The building is the tallest one in the campus and marks our tribute to Lord Buddha. The
library, constructed in approx. 1.78 lacs sqft. and spread over five storey, supports the
University‟s mission to contribute to society through its pursuit of education, learning and
research at the highest levels of excellence.

A water body spread over 1 lac sq. ft. area known as Mahamaya Shanti Sarovar is in the
midst of the Schools of the University. Features like water recycling through lake and
water bodies, natural lighting and ventilation, traditional elements like lattices, sunshades
and domes allows to establish a strong link with the natural environment.

The roads layout plan in entire campus is in circulation system which keeps the complete
vehicular movement restricted to the periphery of the campus allowing for a completely
pedestrian-friendly environment. Separate tracks for cycles have been provided to move
safely from one place to the other.

A state-of-the-art Sports Complex with the potential to hold international level events is
another hallmark of the campus. The University has sports complex with world class
facilities including Play Courts of Lawn Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball, Play Courts of
Badminton, Cricket Practice Pitch, Football Ground and Gymnasium etc.

Entire campus is equipped with Wi-Fi facility with 1GBPS Internet Speed. It has 24 hours
power backup/Bank with ATM facility /Post Office /Dispensary /24 hours Ambulance
Service /Shopping Centre and 18 hostels (12 for boys and 06 for girls), an International
