Their letter will be based on the events that
happened in Chapter 4 and will follow the basic

Mock Written Students will complete a written response that is


structured like the written portion of the grade 9 x

the response is related to war and A Separate
Peace, however students are only required to
discuss the impact of war in their response. They
will be given one 48 min block to complete this.
Students will complete a total of 3 short quizzes
that check for comprehension and understanding
Quizzes (3) of major themes in the novel. If the students have x
been following along in the novel and listening in
class, it shouldn’t be difficult for them to score
100% on each one.
Students will choose to create either a comic book,
diary, sound track, narrative, or movie trailer.
They will have the choice to do this in groups or

Project of the text by drawing on specific and meaningful
moments/themes. They will use class time to work
on it and will present their project to the class at
the end of the unit.
