The Green
This was a successful season for the
Bison golfers. There is a ton of reason
why golf is a fun relaxing sport and
everyone has a reason to enjoy golf.
"I love golf because it is fun and you can
compete with other people and socialize
with your friends." Kersten Strickland(1 0) .
Everyone joined for different reasons but
everyone enjoyed it.
"I joined because I thought it would be a
fun experience , and it was." Michael Jenks
(9).
Golf can be a very fun sport, but there
are also challenging aspects to it, which
can make it much more fun .
"The hardest part about golf was actually
hitting the ball." Aaron Thiesen( 12)
Overall this was a great year for the

The wrestling team had a very successful
season which turned out even better because
of all the time they put into the practices and
meets and they spent a lot of time with each
other which brought them together. The season
was full of fun memories and hard work! "My
favorite memory was when Coach Johnson
taught me his 'one finger death hit'." Michael
Meraz (9) .
Everybody enjoyed watching the matches
and every wrestler had the crowd , and their
team , on their feet. "The best part of being the
manager was going to every meet and always
supporting the team , no matter if they won or
lost. " Danielle Rochefort (12) .
There were fun meets and some that
weren 't so fun but there wasn 't a single bad
meet for the Bison wrestlers. "My favorite meet
was the home meet against El Dorado and
Glendale because I had to work really hard and
I had a lot of fun wrestling." Dontae Toppin (9) .

Spirit Week is one of the best times of the school year

because it's when students may dress up and wear
costumes without getting in trouble. One of the best parts of
spirit week is seeing how crazy everyone gets with their
outfits. Though some people don't dress up at all , some
dress up a little bit, and others stand out from all the way
across the halls.
One of those people who went all out is Ben Walters.
Walters (11 ) said that after Opposite Day, "I have found a
deeper respect for all girls. Being a boy is better, it's easier."

The Buffalo Bison football team

had a rough start to their season,
with the losses, but even with the
rocky beginning they pushed
through for a great season!
There were many great
moments and memories made
during this season!
"My favorite memory was
recovering a fumbled punt, and
returning it for a touchdown even
though it didn't stand." Ryan
Jackson (11 ).
The constant work and effort
put in the game makes it
enjoyable for both the players
and the crowd of roaring fans.
"My funniest memory was when
Christopher Treft got a screen set
for him and made a touchdown."
Conner Gray (9)
There were many great parts in
every game and all of them had
some impact on the team.
"My favorite part of the games
is the middle because all of your
emotion, thought, and strength
are really put into the game."
Zach Gorman (11 ). The season
may have not turned out the best,
but memories were made that will
never be forgotten!

From the beginning all the way to the end,

our Lady Bison Softball team was absolutely
outstanding , not only because of how they

has for softball.
Amber Austin (1 0) said , "[Softball means]
everything , because I love it with all my

"It's going to be hard , from my extraordinary .--~-::.:
teammates to the game itself. It's an
experience I'm never going to forget ," said
Maddy Mayfield (12).
Besides the girls' love of softball , what may
have had a part in their success was the new
Lady Bison Softball coach , Eric Ingram .
Coach Ingram shared the reason he
coaches softball , "Because I love it. I grew up
playing baseball and softball is the girl

"This is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of
will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain, and 100% reason to
remember the name."- Fort Minor, "Remember the
Name." The band works hard all year long. They start in
July and go until the last week in October, and that's just
marching season! Members get up early 3 days a week
just to be at school for band at 7:30am and stay for after
school practice one day from 4:30-6 :00pm. Drum-line
practice lasts until 4:30 so other members help one
another with homework or challenging music. Band takes
a lot of dedication . "It is my life! I practically live in the
band room." said Elise Quisenberry (9} . The 12-13 music
included "EI Cumbanchero, Novus3, and I Know You
Want Me ." Also , brand new uniforms finally arrived."llove
the new uniforms because , the old ones were worn out
and the new ones make us look more professional." said
Holly Sharp (12). The old ones were 15 years old and
falling a part, barely holding on by duct tape and safety
pins. The band also has concert season , the Veterans
assembly and parade, Christmas events, and Pep band ,
and that's just first semester! Second semester is just as
busy with contest season, solos and ensembles, and a
spring concert and finally, Graduation! All the seniors will
be greatly missed. "I wish I could never leave!" said
Megan Gronniger (12). Band truly is a bonding
experience.
