Nursing in Indonesia

 The comparison between nurses and patients is still too far,

namely one nurse treats 5 to 6 patients
 In Indonesia, a minimum of nurses working in hospitals is
nurses graduating from diploma
 Nurse service hours are divided into three shifts and every
eight hours shifth
 Nursing documentation in Indonesia still uses a paper base
 Tools for nursing actions are disposable and some are
sterilized again
 In Indonesia the patient's family contributes to treating
patients, wiping, helping to defecate and urinating, and
removing urine catheters

Nursing in other country

1. Amerika

 The division of duties of nurses depends on the service unit,

for example the ICU room is one to one meaning that one
nurse takes care of one patient, may not be more than
specified if it violates the patient's admission then it can be
reported to the highest nurse organization.
 Nurses who work in hospitals must have a minimum degree
with a registered nurse.
 Nurse service schedules are usually flexible, generally 12
hours of work in one service shift. For 12 hours working,
you can't play handphone
 Documenting nursing using a computer, except in the ICU
there are those who use exposure bases to monitor charts of
vital signs
 For all actions using disposable tools except metal
 For all patient needs fully carried out by nurses or nurse
assistants

2. Arab

 The form of work of nurses divided by several teams.

Comparison of patients with nurses, for example in ICU
room is one to one meaning that one nurse takes care of one
patient or one to one meaning that one nurse takes care of
two patient.
 In Saudi Arabia in the state hospital the diploma nurse has
been reduced. Nurses work according to their respective
titles. For example a diploma nurse as a nursing assistant
 The division of service hours of nurses is divided into 3
shifts 8 hours. Morning 7-3 pm, 3-11 pm, 11-7 nights,
except in the month of Ramadan and Hajj is divided into 4 6
hour shifts. Morning 9-3pm, afternoon 3-9pm, night 9-3am,
and 3-9 am
 Documenting nursing using a computer, except in the ICU
there are those who use exposure bases to monitor charts of
vital signs
 For all actions using disposable tools except metal

 For all patient needs fully carried out by nurses or nurse

assistants

 There is an alarm when the patient's vital signs are abnormal

3. Australia

 The ratio of the division of duties of nurses to patients is

very much considered. for example, in the ICU room three
nurses treated five patients. for patients with cases of
resuscitation, emergency department (severe hypertension
and arrhythmias) or with patients with symptoms of stroke
will be handled by a special team in the emergency unit. this
special team consists of nurses, doctors, and radiology
officers.
 Division of tasks is clear between scholars and diplomas in
taking action. for example a (diploma nurse is not allowed
to give an injection)
 Nurse service hours are divided into three shifts and every
eight hours shifth
 Documenting nursing using a computer, except in the ICU
there are those who use exposure bases to monitor charts of
vital signs
 For all actions using disposable tools except metal
 For all patient needs fully carried out by nurses or nurse
assistants
