ABSTRACT
The kitchen rocket is a portable stove that allows the cooking of food in an optimal way. The
construction of a rocket kitchen prototype includes materials such as: square tubes of 100mm
and 20mm of edge length; These materials have a thickness of 2mm, so the joining method
used is a SMAW welding process, using as an input material an E-6011 electrode, at a current
of 60 amps that is universal for all joints of the prototype structure.
The joints of the different elements of the kitchen were mostly welded in the horizontal 1G
position, although the design has a deposit in its structure that houses the biomass that is located
at a 45 ° slope, which promotes a constant combustion and complete biomass; for the union of
this component, a joint in horizontal position 1F was used. In addition to the placement of a
door in the ashtray compartment a hinge was used; and 5 mm thick plates were used for the
burner supports. Only welding points were applied to weld these components taking into
account the small thicknesses that are handled in the base material.
