1. PUF 100 BASIC OF POLYURETHANE FOAM :

This would essentially cover the brief introduction to polyols, isocyanates, catalysts, surfactant, processing
and machines. A very brief introduction will also be done to processing of foams
2. PUF 102 OPERATING A FOAM MACHINE :
Very briefly discussion and learning on how the foam machine works, how to start the foam machine,
calibration, process A advanced course is available on repair of mix heads and operating a foam machine
successfully. Prerequisite for the course is PUF 102
3. PUF 103 POLYURETHANE CHEMISTRY AND RAWMATERIALS:
A very comprehensive look into manufacture of polyols, isocyanates, types of polyols and isocyanates, types
of Polymerizations and molecular weights in polymers, blowing agents, types of catalysts and surfactants,
types of flame retardants. Basic calculations in foam processing, formulation developments and testing
4. PUF 104 POLYURETHANE PROCESSING :
A comprehensive look at how the foam machine works, pumps, mix heads, valves and electrical circuits,
starting a foam machine, layout, processing variables, process control plans, FMEAS, process check sheets,
Manufacturing plans for a typical foam process, quality improvement processes.
5. PUF 105 RIGID FOAMS:
Rigid foams basic, chemicals and raw materials for rigid foams How is foam made, Isocyanates, Polyols,
Master batches, surfactants blowing agents, catalysts etc, etc types of processes like Appliance, sandwich
panel, pipes, slabs, thermo ware, light weight concrete, insulation panel, pipe for long distance heating
systems, spray foams, pipe shells and insitu insulations. Calibration methods and properties testing methods
