SUMMARY
I am currently a freshman at Arizona State University with a consistently high GPA. I have volunteered for different
organizations which has led me to become an efficient student and citizen in my community. I love to work with others, but
I can also do great on my own and am prepared to take on almost any task.

WORK EXPERIENCE
ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY
Desk Assistant | 10/18 – Current
I currently work at the front desk of the Tutoring and Writing Center on the Polytechnic campus of Arizona State
University. This job has given me the opportunity to work on my communication skills and learn more workplace skills.
○ Log students in and out of the Tutoring Centers.
○ Schedule appointments for the Writing Center.
○ Answer the phone and assist as needed.
○ Assist new students or families with directions or information about the Polytechnic campus.
○ Collaborate with the Tutors to ensure the best experience for students that come in.

COVENANT GRACE CHURCH

Nursery Volunteer | 04/17 – 07/18
I volunteered in the nursery at CovGrace. I have been able to have the chance to communicate with those in my
community and to assist in the development of the next generation.
○ Observed and monitored children's play activities.
○ Sanitized toys and play equipment.
○ Kept and communicated daily observations and information on individual children about activities,
behaviors, meals served, and medications administered.
○ Prepared food and served meals and refreshments to children.

EASTSIDE HOMESCHOOL PTSA

I volunteered as a student teacher for two homeschool co-op science classes. I planned lessons, taught them, and had
the chance to interact with some great children. The ages I taught ranged from three to eight.
○ Adapt and use various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations to meet
students' varying needs and interests.
○ Control conflict among students to maintain order in the class.
○ Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, and demonstrations.

I was a member of Key Club during my freshman year in high school. I volunteered for food drives, organized dances to
raise funding for eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus, and worked with the people in my community to better it.

○ Prepare materials for charitable events, such as fundraising envelopes, bid sheets, or gift bags.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS

Basic (PC) Computer Knowledge/ Experience with Microsoft Office Products

I have worked extensively with Microsoft Office Products and can do almost any task with Excel, Powerpoint, and
Word. For example, I have created an effective spreadsheet of data and made charts from the date on Excel. This skill
would be useful for analyzing data for the number of students entering the tutoring center for specific subjects to
determine what type of tutors the center needs most.

Website Design
I have utilized Weebly in order to create a ​website​ for one of my technology courses. It has been an ongoing
project in which I have learned to enter and organize my course projects in a fashionable manner. It is organized and has
a theme. It best displays my abilities. The skills I have learned from creating this website could be applied to managing
and updating the tutoring center website and exam prep sessions.

Graphic Design
Using Canva and Piktochart I have been able to create professional looking infographics and other graphic
designs. This was done in order to help boost my weebly website. I created a graphic that goes well with the design of my
website, but still looks professional. These skills can be applied to the design of posters for the center.
