The first part of a SMALL goal is self-selected. Your goals should be your own. Choose goals
that fit into your life and only change behaviors that you are willing to negotiate. Be realistic.
What do you want to accomplish?
Your Answer:
I want to procrastinate less. I am really bad at waiting until the last minute to do things,
especially school work; it puts me under a lot of stress all of the time which is unhealthy.

Question 2

The second part of SMALL goal is measurable. Develop a concrete way to track your goal.

I want to start by completing and turning in all of my assignments at least one day before they
are due.

complete the steps needed to make your goals a reality.
What steps are you going to take?
Your Answer:
I want to take time EVERY SINGLE DAY to work on all of my assignments for that week. I
want to work on multiple assignments everyday so I will not be forced to wait until the last
minute the ones I may not get to if I just did one a day.

Question 4

The fourth part of a SMALL goal life-linked. Goals are best achieved if they work within your
lifestyle and match your challenges and strengths.

Your Answer:
I need to learn to manage my time better. This will include putting more time into my school
work and less time into relaxing, watching TV, scrolling through social media, and wasting time
thinking about doing my assignments.
Question 5

The last part of a SMALL goal is long-term. You want to be healthy for life so any changes you
consider should be something you could see yourself doing over the long term.
How will you maintain your goal long-term?
Your Answer:
School work is not the only thing I procrastinate with, so if I can get better at this, I am hoping to
get better at not waiting until the last minute to do other things such as cleaning, doing laundry,
and planning lessons.

Reflection
In 3-5 sentences, write about your experience with the Module 1 challenge from last week.
Consider answering some or all of the following questions: How did it feel? What did you learn
about yourself? What behaviors do you want to continue? What would you change if you did the
challenge again? What obstacles did you need to overcome to complete the challenge?
Your Answer:
For Module 1, I made a goal to not procrastinate on homework and things I needed to complete
for that week. I think that I did pretty well at not waiting until the last minute to do my
homework assignments, and it was nice not feeling stressed about it all week. It was hard to find
time to do everything because I work 30 hours a week and I go to school full time, but it made it
easier when I took a little time EVERYDAY to work on things I needed to do. I want to continue
to get my assignments done as soon as possible and not procrastinate.
