Fudan University 21st Century International

Undergraduate Program (For Candidates of Thailand)

Fudan University 21st Century International Undergraduate Program targets top


graduates of the best senior high schools internationally. All senior high schools that
rank highly in their home countries and are willing to recommend excellent graduates
to Fudan University are welcome to participate.
I. Benefits for Participants
1. Scholarship
Fudan University will offer two different kinds of scholarships to the most
excellent applicants recommended by partner schools (applicants for M.B.B.S.
program are not included).
A. Full scholarship
Recipients of full scholarship may get exemption of tuition, accommodation and
insurance and get stipend for living cost (2500 RMB per month) during the normal
study period.
B. Partial Scholarship
Recipients of partial scholarship may get exemption of tuition during the normal
study period.
Whether the scholarship recipients can continue to get the full scholarship or
partial scholarship in the following academic year will be decided by their academic
records and social activities in the previous academic year.
2. No Entrance Examination
Students recommended by partner schools will only have to submit required
application documents and pass an interview to be admitted. Students will not have to
attend the international students entrance examinations held by the university.
3. Preparatory Education
Fudan University will provide preparatory education for the scholarship students
whose Chinese proficiency is not enough to study undergraduate program directly.
This could include a year of Chinese language training, Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry or English courses, etc. to make up for any gaps in education.
II. Qualification
1. High school graduate or above, qualified for university entrance, medically
sound foreigners

2. Emigrants from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan applying as
international students must have obtained their current foreign citizenship before April
30, 2013. In addition, the applicant must have lived abroad for at least 2 years during
the period between April 30, 2013 and April 30, 2017.

III. Application procedure and required documents
1. Online Application period: Jan.15, 2017 – Feb. 20, 2017
Please visit http://admission.iso.fudan.edu.cn to finish the online application
procedure (choose self-support-undergraduate-21st Century, Program Code: 799498)
and upload the required documents during the aforementioned application period. The
application fee is exempted for the applicants recommended by partner schools. When
the online application is confirmed, print the application form automatically generated
by the system, affix a photo in the designated area, and sign.
2. Required application documents
The applicants should prepare the following documents and send to International
Student Office of Fudan University (for detailed address, please see contact
information) by mail or courier before March 15, 2017.
1) Application Form with the applicant’s signature and passport-sized photo
2) Photocopy of valid passport identification page. Passport must be an
ordinary passport and be valid for at least six months from the application time
until September 30, 2017.
3) High School Diploma or proof of impending graduation (for applicants in
their final year of study) (Original or notarized copy, with notarized Chinese or
English translation, if original not in Chinese or English)
4) Transcripts of high school
(Original or notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English translation)
5) Transcripts of GAT and PAT.
(Original or notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English translation)
6) Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from whom can
attest to the quality of his/her academic performance and scholastic potential.
The letters must include referees’ phone number and email address.
7) Personal statement, no more than 2000 words in English or Chinese,
including (but not limited to) motivation for application and details on academic

skills, community activities, awards received, personal strengths, study plan, and
life goals.
8) Photocopy of HSK Certificate or other documents which can prove the
applicant’s Chinese proficiency (not compulsory)
9) Applicants who are not 18 years old before September 1, 2017, must submit
a Guarantee Statement, which can be downloaded off the website
http://iso.fudan.edu.cn/ziliao.htm. The guarantor should be an adult, living in
Shanghai with a stable source of income.
10) Emigrants from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan must
submit proof of naturalization and copy of entry and exit stamps on passports
from the past four years or evidence of residing abroad for at least two of the
last four years*.
※ “Last four years” is defined as the time period between April 30, 2013 and April
30, 2017.
※ Applicants may send additional documents which may demonstrate their
comprehensive abilities along with the required documents, for example, award
certificates, admission notices from other universities, etc.
※ Additional application documents may be required when necessary.
※ All the application documents will not be returned.
※ Required documents can be translated or certified by the partner schools with the
signature of the school staff and the school stamp.
IV. Interview
Applicants will be interviewed via Skype at the end of March or in early of April.
The exact time of the interview will be informed in advance.
V. Admission and scholarship results
International Student Office of Fudan University will inform partner schools the
admission and scholarship results before April 30, 2017 in written. The partner
schools should confirm with the admitted students whether they accept the offer, and
inform International Student Office of Fudan University the students’ final decision in
written before May 31, 2017.
VI. Admission Notice
International Student Office of Fudan University will send the admission package
to partner schools or to the students via EMS in early or mid of July 2017.
VII. On irregularities

If fraud or favoritism is found, upon verification, severe consequences apply. If
found during the application process, eligibility for admission will be cancelled. If
found prior to matriculation, matriculation eligibility will be cancelled. If found after
matriculation, admission will be cancelled or student status will be cancelled. If found
after graduation, the Education Administrative Department shall annul the validity of
all earned degrees and certificates and order the return and confiscation of these
documents. If there are violations of the law, matters shall be dealt with by relevant
judicial entities.
