My name is Aparna Jain and I am writing to you from Punjab, India. My father is a business man and mother is home-maker. I am living with my parents along with other two siblings in Ludhiana, north of India. I am keen in applying for a Master’s degree in finance. I had my graduation in Bachelor of Commerce with honors (Finance) with aggregate distinction of 79 percentile in 2017. Afterwards I have cleared CFA Level 1 exam in December 2018. That three year undergraduate program in Finance has ultimately formed the foundation of my perseverance in achieving a deep knowledge in the field of Finance. After getting that acknowledgement at studies, I am interested in carrying on with my studies. I believe that Finance is the blood of business and plays a vital role in several aspects of life. I believe that with this subject, there is an ample scope that can work in proving the ability of one person, including intelligence and competency in this seemingly revolutionary, as well as potentially extremely beneficial field. Aside from college academics, I also became involved actively in various extra-curricular activities. We stood 2nd in METTLE (A business competition between different groups to earn maximum profit). The motivating force behind all of this was my personal goal of developing various aspects of my own personality. To add up, I have even taken part in social activities such as ‘BLOOD DONATION’ Camps which shows my ability to socialize and helping others in need. The move towards an international economy and unprecedented growth regarding free trade and exchange globally has brought extremely immense opportunities in developing new tools, methodologies and instruments especially in the field of finance. I believe that I can do this by means of master’s degree which will give me theoretical understanding , along with in-depth idea of practical approaches involved in aiding financial decision making as well as research skills which can allow me to develop expertise in the core features of international finance as well as global corporate financial operations I found your ‘master degree program in international finance’ suitable as per my needs and demand. Getting an international degree will aid to my professional life. As in developing economies like India, getting paid for my master program will be costlier and it will become financial burden for my parent. Also, getting clearance with many exams, just to enroll in Top colleges in India will further add up to my cost and time. But coming to your university will not only exchange my knowledge but it will help me to achieve my ambition and goals. I love traveling, as well as understanding various cultures all over the world. All of these elements have provided me a wide outlook, with different degree of knowledge in a wide array of topics. Coming to Australia will get me one step closer to my ambitious life. I have gone through different universities in Melbourne such as University of Melbourne, La Trobe, Victoria University etc. Although University of Melbourne is very competitive but it is also out of my budget. Another reason for taking this course is that it is just similar to others. Say, Monash University or University of Melbourne. Coming from a family with small family business, I have always been inspired by the experience of my parents. I am very interested in gaining the necessary skills in order to potentially achieve a level of intelligence. Modern businesses need not just balancing of the books, but also on the investment as well as management of people, arrest, risks and opportunities. Aside from studying, I also firmly believe that University life would give me the opportunity to communicate with other students as well as teachers from coming from different language and culture backgrounds. Each Individual will certainly allow me to learn something new and refreshing. Even I will be happy to share my knowledge along with other people. In turn, I will also be able to make a good contribution to the world of finance. My purpose of writing this application is to present a brief description about myself. If my application justifies my admission for the program, I would be happy to be part of your University. To serve the same, I am looking for favorable favor from the selection committee.
