OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards
The learners demonstrate an understanding of meiosis as one of the processes producing genetic variations of
the Mendelian Pattern of Inheritance
B. Performance Standards
The learners should be able to report on the importance of variation in plant and animal breeding
C. Learning Competencies
S8LT-IVf-18
Predict phenotypic expressions of traits following simple patterns of inheritance;
D. Learning Objectives (Unpacked Competencies)
At the end of this lesson, the learners should be able to:
1. explain incomplete pattern of inheritance;
2. differentiate incomplete pattern of inheritance with complete dominance;
3. illustrate by means of punnett square a cross involving incomplete dominance; and
4. appreciate the importance of incomplete pattern of inheritance by citing its application.

A. Reviewing past lesson or Presenting

the new lesson (Elicit/Engage)

The teacher will let the students play the game “Hangaroo.”
1. Divide the class into 5 groups.
2. Each group will be given a chance to identify the words
by means of the hints (which are the definition of the
words) and letters flashed on the screen.
3. The group who garnered the most number of words
identified will be the winner.
