ADMAC MENU “Turning” Operations

Outline of ADMAC MENU “Turning” Operations


Ten buttons in all are provided for ADMAC menu “Turning”, and clicking the respective
buttons starts up the corresponding application software.

(Interactive Program)

Used to start the interactive program function (ONE TOUCH IGF XL). This function
allows you to create NC programs in your personal computer by operations similar to
those of the OSP-use “ONE TOUCH IGF XL”.

  (Know-How Sketch)

Used to start the know-how sketch function. This function allows you to convert the
interactive data that has been created using ONE TOUCH IGF XL, into CAD data and
then add a know-how sketch as a machining drawing.

    (CAD Program)

Used to start the CAD Program function. This function allows you to load CAD data
(DXF file), specify the machining shape by mouse operations, and create an NC
program.

    (Program Edit)

Used to start the menu for selecting NC program edit application software. You can use
this function to start NC program edit application software.

    (Program Check)

Used to start the Program Check function (OSP Simulation). You can use this function
to check an OSP-use NC program by simulation.

    (File Operation)

Used to start the menu for selecting NC program input/output application software. You
can use this function to start NC program input/output application software.

    (Preferences)

Used to start the application software for setting the environment for ADMAC-Parts
Turning. You can use this function to modify settings on system units, on menu invalid
display, on program edit operations, and on file operations.

     (Help)

Used to refer to information on the ADMAC menu items and on the interactive input
function, as detailed information relating to ADMAC-Parts Turning.

     (Close)

Used to store ADMAC menu “Turning” into the taskbar.

     (Exit)

Used to exit ADMAC menu “Turning.”

Functions of ADMAC MENU “Turning”


The Interactive Program function (ONE TOUCH IGF XL), the Know-How Sketch function,
the CAD Program function, and the Program Check function (OSP Simulation) can be
started from ADMAC menu “Turning.”

Interractive Program
This function allows you to create an NC program by performing operations similar to those
of the automatic programming system “ONE TOUCH IGF XL” for OSP. The starting
procedure is as follows:

1. Click the (Interactive Program) button in the ADMAC menu. After a while, the
Interactive Program dialog box will be displayed.

2. In the resulting [Interactive Program] dialog box, select the desired machine model by
clicking (to highlight its name), and then click the [Start] button.

Know-How Sketch
This function allows you to convert the interactive data that has been created using ONE
TOUCH IGF XL, into CAD data and then add a know-how sketch as a machining drawing.

1. Click the (Know-How Sketch) button in the ADMAC menu. After a while, the
CAD input function will be started and the [Machine Selection] dialog box displayed.

2. In the resulting [Machine Selection] dialog box, select the desired machine model by
clicking (to highlight its name), and the [IGF file reading] dialog box displayed.

3. In the resulting [IGF file reading] dialog box, select the desired file by clicking (to
highlight its name), and then click the [Open] button. The IGF file will be loaded into
the CAD Program function.

4. A machining drawing on which the machining origin, machining unit numbers, and tool
numbers are written can be created using the Creaate machining drawing function.

CAD Program
This function allows you to create an NC program by loading CAD data (DXF file) and then
specifying the machining pattern by mouse operations.

1. Click the (CAD Program) button in the ADMAC menu. After a while, the CAD
input function will be started.

Program Edit
This function allows you to start the application software for editing NC programs.

1. Click the (Program Edit) button in the ADMAC menu. After a while, the
[Program Edit] dialog box will be displayed.

2. In the resulting [Program Edit] dialog box, select the desired application software by
clicking (to highlight its name), and then click the [Start] button.

Program Check
This function allows you to check an OSP-use NC program by simulation.

1. Click the (Program Check) button in the ADMAC menu to start OSP Simulation.

File Operation
This function allows you to start the application software for in- and outputting an NC
program.

1. Click the (File Operation) button in the ADMAC menu to open the [File
Operation] dialog box.

2. In the resulting [File Operation] dialog box, select the desired application software by
clicking (to highlight its name), and then click the [Start] button.

Preferences
You can use this function to modify settings on system units, on menu invalid display, on
program edit operations, and on file operations.

1. Click the (Preferences) button in the ADMAC menu to open the [Preference
setting] dialog box.

-SYSTEM

Used to select either a metric or inch unit for ADMAC-Parts Turning.

- Check boxes for ADMAC menu functions

Used to select whether the know-how sketch, program edit, and file operation buttons
in the ADMAC menu are to be made valid or invalid.

- Delete temporary files

Used to collectively delete the files that the system has used as temporary ones.

- Setting of file edit menu

Click the button to open a dialog box for setting the entries of the program edit menu.

1. Type the name of application software in the [File name] field.

2. Click the [Select] button and enter the path name for the application software.

3. After entering data for the required entries, finally click the [Resister] button.

- Setting of file operation

Click the button to open a dialog box for setting the entries of the file operation menu.

1. Type the name of application software in [file name] field.

2. Click the [Select] button and enter the path name for the application software.

3. After entering data for the required entries, finally click the [Resister] button.

-System setting

Used to enter the path names for the Know-how sketch, CAD Program, and Program
Check application software. The initial settings usually do not require modification.

Help
This function allows you to refer to information on the ADMAC menu items and on the
Interactive Program function, as detailed information relating to ADMAC-Parts.

1. Click the (Help) button in the ADMAC menu to display the entrance, or index
page.

Close
This function stores the ADMAC menu into the taskbar.

1. Click the (Close) button in the ADMAC menu to store the ADMAC menu into the
Windows taskbar.

Exit
This function terminates the ADMAC menu.

1. Click the (Exit) button in the ADMAC menu to terminate the ADMAC menu.
