SUBJECT : Action Taken re Risk of Momo Challenge

DATE : March 19, 2019

1. References:
a. Memorandum from LPPO with subject What is the Risk of Momo Challenge
dated March 18, 2019; and
b. Memorandum from RD, PRO CALABARZON dated March 18, 2019 with
same subject as above.

2. The pertains to the recent online “suicide challenge” dubbed as the “Momo
Challenge” which features an avatar of a woman with dark hair , pale skin, and
oversized eyes who sends young people certain images and instructions on how to
harm themselves and other people .

3. In connection with the above references please be informed that on March 19,
2019 at about 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon conducted Police Information and
Continuing Education (PICE) to the PNP personnel of Santa Rosa City Police Station
held at Ground Floor Santa Rosa City Police Station. Topic discussed were the
dangerous task of Momo Challenge including violent attacks and suicide that may harm
facebook user particularly children. Activity ended at about 2:30 in the afternoon of the
same date.
