Assalam-O-Alaikum!

I am Umair bearing roll no. 72 and I belong to group 6 of presentation. We were given the topic which is called
͞Managing Performance Globally͟ or ͞Performance Management Globally͟. First I would like to thank Ms. Saima Hussain
on behalf of all group members who provided us with such a great opportunity to develop our presentation and
communication skills resulting into a better presenter. I also want to thank all the group members who made their
efforts towards making this presentation a reality, complete and look like and feel like a professional one.

Now I would like to start our presentation and call Mr. Danish who will present before you a brief Introduction of
Performance Management. So, please welcome Danish.

  
1.Y So Danish gave you a brief Introduction of Performance Management. Now I would like to call Mr. Umer Aziz to
come and present the topic of ͞The Need For Performance Management͟. So, please welcome him on dice.

So Mr. Umer presented before you The Need For Performance Management.

2.Y Now I would like to present myself for the sub-topic of ͞Basic Steps in Performance Management͟.

Hope you understood it as I tried to present it.

3.Y Now I would like to invite Mr. Taha Waqas to present the 3rd step of Performance Management
So please warmly welcome him on dice.

4.Y Now I would like to invite Ms. Uzma to present another important sub-topic of Performance Management called as
͞Tools of Performance Management͟. So please welcome her on dice

Hope you understood it as Uzma tried her best.

5.Y Now I want to invite Ms. Ayesha to come on dice and present the sub-topic called as
͞Factors Affecting Performance͟. So please welcome her.

Ayesha presented her topic in a very well manner.

7.Y So that was our topic, hope you like it. Now I want to invite Mr. Taha Waqas, Mr. Danish, Ms. Uzma, and Ms. Ayesha
to come to front so that we can start a Group Question & Answer session. Every member would answer questions
relating to his own sub-topic. So if you have any questions you can start asking now! You can also give any
suggestions, feedback, comments and positive criticism if any.


      

Performance Management is a key area on which on can work to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Infact, it is
a part of MBO which stands for Management By Objectives. There are many steps that are involved in Performance
Management but 3 basic or fundamental steps that are involved in Performance Management are:

The Manager should ! 


       on which he wants his staff members to spend
their time. He should   
   to identify and communicate the department͛s overall goals and
objectives to his staff members and also identify individual goals and objectives.

He should describe the desired result by using 3 elements, which are:

1)Y Outcome
2)Y Measurement
3)Y Timeframe

4   it means that the manager should describe what needs to be achieved? What are the goals? And clearify
them to his staff members. For example, the response time required for customers͛ inquiries

4    it means that the manager and the staff both describe the work that needs to be done and assess
whether the goals have been successfully achieved or not. For example to improve the response time for customers͛
inquiries from 4 hours to 2.5 hours

  it means that the manager will communicate a specific and definite target time and date for the results to
be achieved so that the staff will be able to set appropriate priorities when completing multiple tasks. For example
improving the response time required for customers͛ inquiries from 4 hours to 2 hours by the end of April

The manager should also align his department͛s goals with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. He

The manager should provide ongoing feedback to his staff which can be either positive or constructive. The staff
members with lower performance levels need greater coaching support while others having higher performance levels
need lesser coaching support. The feedback takes place throughout the year. Those who are performing well should be
given positive feedback and those who are not performing well should be addressed and coached.

The manager should also  , which means to provide his staff with the time, resources and the information
they need to execute the requested assignments and also resolve any issues, matters and obstacles that come in their
way.
