School Year
Vision Statement
Every student at LaVergne High School will attain the mastery
required for social/emotional growth, academic achievement, and
post-secondary planning. The students will develop a growth
mindset, where they believe in the value of education and their
own potential. As a diverse community of learners, the students
will appreciate cultural differences and celebrate individuality.
Students will be prepared to enter a challenging and evolving
global society, in which they will promote lifelong learning,
innovation, and critical thinking.
Mission Statement
The mission of the LaVergne High School Counseling
Department is to support all students through empowerment
and advocacy, to challenge and prepare every student
academically, and to encourage student achievement through a
comprehensive and data-driven school counseling program. The
counselors at LaVergne High School will meet the needs of each
student by partnering with parents, teachers, community leaders,
and other stakeholders to provide support for academic,
social/emotional, and career and college readiness.

a role in LHS’s
average ACT score of
