My Marketing Experience

According to “Principles of Marketing” by Kotler and Armstrong, marketing’s simplest


definition would be “engaging customers and managing profitable customer relationships”.
With my one day journey with sir Boy Bermundo and his team, I can say it was not really easy to
attain profitable customer relationship. Engaging is not a problem, but the response of the target
audience is something that the marketers should consider.
It was early in the
morning when I was
endorsed to Sir Boy.
The aim is to assist the
Trimex Colleges
marketing team to
market the school at
Jacobo National High
School. They will go to
room to room to around
eighteen grade 10
classes. At first I was
telling myself that
everything will be easy
but it changes when we
started to go room to
room.

With a total of five collegiate schools competing with students’ attention with the hope that their
school will be the chosen school of each student, there’s no time to spare but to give everything
what they got and impress each classes.
The team was divided into three groups in order to cover more classes. I was teamed up to Sir
Jhoms Bares. As we conducting our room to room I can see that there are different responses
among the student. As Sir Bares is explaining in the middle of the class, some students don’t
really listen. Other is so eager and asked questions that were easily answered. I can say it was not
easy job but I saw to the team that they are eager to do whatever they doing.
The three teams have different way to approach each class. But they always have same point. I
was amazed with how they did their job. The way they talk is base on their character. Sir Boy is
the jolly one and talks a lot. Sir Jhom is the joker on his own way. Sir Erich on the other hand is
the formal in a good way.

A post with Sir Jhoms, Ms. Rose Ann and Sir Erich. They really give their best. It was tiring day
yet they can still smile with confidence.
My main task for the team is to give away flyers and collect survey forms that being given to the
student in order to used as references in case there will be upcoming events and information that
need to send to them.
My overall experience is
short yet productive. I
learn that to able to create
a relationship with your
market, you should state
the facts and lessen
extravagant word. We
need to choose words to
speak. Over promises are
not good to the business.
