SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION
On behalf of the Jackson County Democratic Committee, thank you for past sponsorship or support of Truman
Gala. Without your help, our marquee event would not be possible. Our annual dinner and presentation honoring
President Truman has been a premier event for Democrats in Missouri, bringing in over 500 Democrats from
around Jackson County and the region.

2018 was a successful year for Democrats in Jackson County. We endorsed and turned out thousands of voters
to repeal Right to Work, support ethics reform through Clean Missouri and responsibly raised the minimum wage
state-wide. We also challenged Republicans in every state legislative district in the county winning a House district
in Lee’s Summit for the first time in a generation. We also maintained all our county and state legislative districts.
Most importantly, we engaged thousands of voters who had been neglected for several election cycles.

We are excited about making some changes to the format to this year’s gala. We have decided to take an
ambitious change to the format by inviting Presidential candidates for an engaging panel discussion about today’s
political climate and how we can win in 2020 and beyond. This change could draw a giant crowd and serious
attention from around the region. The success of this event is critical for our chances of success in the next
elections, and we need our friends to step up as sponsors to ensure our success. Your sponsorship allows us to
continue to support Democratic Candidates with staff, communication and field support.

Enclosed you will find our informational sponsorship packet for our 32nd Annual Truman Gala- June 1st, 2019 at

What will the dress for the gala be?
The dress “code” will remain the same as it has been – business professional – but we are looking forward to re-
exciting our crowds, which may include getting dressier!

Where is parking? More on the location.

Parking is free. Arrowhead Stadium is at One Arrowhead Drive., Kansas City, MO 64129. You will park in parking
lot M and enter through the Founder’s Plaza Gate.

What is the VIP Reception?

The VIP reception is invitation-only for sponsors, the featured speakers, and Missouri statewide elected
officials. Hors d’oeuvres and high quality refreshments will be provided.

When do I have to reserve my sponsorship or tell the Jackson County Democrats’ my intent by?
For your logo, company or organization name to be printed on our mostly widely mailed materials, as part of
the sponsor package, we must know your intent by April 20th.

Are there any other changes as part of the Truman Gala?

We will be offering a standing room only ticket for guests that just want to hear the panel discussion. We hope
guests will remain after the formal program to enjoy music, photographs and keep the conversation going. The
bar will remain open.

Where are the closest hotels to stay the night?

We do not have a group rate at a hotel, but recommend contacting one of these very close-by hotels: Drury Inn
& Suites KC Stadium (816-923-2000) or Four Points by Sheraton (816-363-5300) or Adams Mark Hotel (816-
737-0200)

What is the evening’s schedule?

5-6pm: VIP Reception
6-7pm: Social Reception
7-9:30pm: Program of Awards and Speeches
9:30-10:30pm: After Party
