    Euphorbiaceae for identification 220113MK03: Please help me to identify this plant. Is this any Phyllanthus
    sp.? I found this in a floor of a moist forest. Locally common.
    Leaf: 3 cm long; little hairy to touch (pubescent)
    Flower: 2.5-3 cm long
    Date: 27 Dec 2012
    Alt.: 1410 m asl
    Place: Kolli hills, TN

    Reidia floribunda, a S.Indian endemic.


    reminds one of phyllanthus, but is not
    ..., you and ... are right in calling it Phyllanthus. In fact P. wightianus is its accepted name. What I quoted is
    a popular name followed by most Floras in the past, but it is now widely been regarded as synonym.
