Daily Promises of God

for educators Philippians 2:12-13

NIV - Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but
now much more in my absence—con:nue to work out your salva:on with fear and trembling,
for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

RSV - Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence
but much more in my absence, work out your own salva:on with fear and trembling; for God
is at work in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

LB - Dearest friends, when I was there with you, you were always so careful to follow my
instruc:ons. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to do the good things
that result from being saved, obeying God with deep reverence, shrinking back from all that

might displease him. For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey him, and then
helping you do what he wants.

Note to the educator

We obey because of what He has done for us. He paid it all. He came to serve. Let us work out

our own salva7on with fear and trembling in the knowledge of His death, resurrec7on,
ascension and return. He is alive and working in us to accomplish all His pleasure. Is this day a
pleasure? If it is, to God be the glory for He is at work within you to bring pleasure to those you
interact with each day. If your day is not a pleasure, lean into Him for the knowledge, strength

and confidence to obey Him and let Him work through you. What are the two great things He
wants from us: to love Him and to love others. We can do all things through Him.
