MORNING ASSEMBLY: EXAMINATION

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim

A morning is a wonderful blessing, either cloudy or sunny, it stands for hope, giving us another
start of what we call, life. Assalamu Alaikum and a very pleasant good morning to one and all
standing here . Today is 29th of January 2017 and 1st of Jumada Al Awwal 1438. I, Sabira Tahsin
Khan, from IG1A, along with my classmates, welcome you all to today’s morning assembly.
Since all of us know, our final exams are approaching, our today’s topic of assembly is,
‘’Examinations’’ .

A new day means a fresh start and new opportunities. So, let’s greet the day with open arms.
As we all know that no program can be started without remembering the Almighty, the creator
of whole Universe, so I would like to call Aseel to recite a few verses of the Holy Quran, and its
translation by Afra. JAZAKALLAH

Like the Quranic verses, Hadith are also very important because they refer to the collected
reports of what the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) said and did during his lifetime. I’d like to call
Nawal, to come forward and share a Hadith with us. Thanks Nawal.

Examination is a very wide word, which is used in all spheres of life. In education, examination
is a test to show the knowledge and ability of a student. Exams play an important part in one’s
educational career. The ability to pass an exam is indeed a valuable quality. It shows that the
student is able to express his/her thought and ideas to a manner that others can understand. It
also shows that the student has acquired a certain amount of knowledge in the particular
branches of study. Besides, the mind of a student, even if he is dull, receives good exercise
when he/she prepares for an examination. A student’s success in an examination, therefore,
helps teachers and others to assess his mental or general ability.

When we speak of exams and test, we think of the worldly trials created by us, humans. But my
dear fellows, we forget that life itself is a test. Allah the Exalted states in the Holy Quran, [He]
who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the
Exalted in Might, the Forgiving . Surat Al Mulk verse 2.
A hardship and suffering is a blessing in disguise. It is a moment of test, a test that once you
pass with patience, it will grant you rewards more than you can imagine.
Now, I’d like to call Masooma to say the morning supplication.

Please stand in an attention position to give respect to the national anthem of Kuwait.

Exams are inevitable for students, but they don't have to be so stressful, if you prepare yourself
right on time. Don't leave it until the last minute. You could set out a timetable for your study.
Try to organize your study space. Make sure you have enough space to spread your textbooks
and notes out. One of the most effective ways to prepare for exams is to practice past papers.
This helps you get used to the format of the questions. On the day of exams, Read all the
questions carefully before starting and quickly plan how much time to allocate to each. Never
be afraid ask the examiner if you are not clear on a question. I hope these tips will help you.

Pledge means an oath to fulfill our duties. Our daily school pledge will be conducted by Tazreen.
Now, Maryam will come forward to say a few words wishing luck to all the students.

Always remember, It's never too late to achieve exam success! So work hard and surprise yourself with
your own results!! All the best!! Have a great day 
