REFLECTION: PERSONAL LIFELONG LEARNING PLAN

Being a 21st century teacher wasn’t easy. It is not something that you can attain by just a mere wink or snap of our finger. As I craft my

Personal Lifelong Learning Plan, I realized that I have too many things to do and to improve in order to be a 21st century teacher. Actually, I realize

that I am far from being one of them but as most of us believed, slowly and step by step I will sure be one.

To be one the 21st century teacher, we must be equipped with 21st century literacies. We must be equipped with knowledge, skill, attitudes

and values that will help as cope with the changes in our modern society. PLLP made me realized my strengths, weaknesses and level of

competencies in 21st century education.

I am a teacher who always wanted my students to be developed to their fullest. I do give my best to make my students, successful in the

future. To do that I am trying to improve myself day by day. I am geared towards continuous growth and development but PLLP gives me a new

direction for improvement. Before, I am more focused on improving my knowledge and skills but today, my new direction sets me on giving also

equal attention in my attitudes and values. I have to focus on the other 21st century literacies that I am not giving attention like the art and creativity

literacy and globalization and multicultural literacy.

Developing other 21st century literacies will help me to be a better teacher. A kind of teacher that our learners need. We are facing a fast-

changing society and our learner needs someone who can guide them through their journey. Someone who’s competent enough and somehow who

cares.
