 INTRODUCTION
The “EXOTIC INDIA VACATION” is to provide a convenient way for a customer to book
hotels, flight, train and bus for tour purposes. The Tours and Travel Management System is a
web based application.
This project will make an easier task of searching places and for booking train, flight or bus. In
the present system a customer has to approach various agencies to find details of places and to
book tickets. This often requires a lot of time and effort. The consequences of tourism, locally,
regionally, and nationally including visitor security and ecological influences may vary. It is
tedious for a customer to plan a particular journey and have it executed properly.

The project “Exotic India Vacation” (Tours and Travels Management System) is developed to
replace the currently existing system, which helps in keeping records of the customer details of
destination as well as payment received.

SYSTEM FEATURES:

1. New Registration: New users can register on the site and will be provided a
username and password (encrypted) so that they do not have to enter their details
each time they visit the site for tour booking.
2. Faster Searching of tour packages.
3. Affordable tour packages with no hidden charges.

displayed after the booking of selected tour.
12. This site is simple and can be maintained and managed easily, if any changes occur
in future then the changes can be made easily in this system without having
ambiguity.

 OBJECTIVE
The main objective of this project is to develop a system that automates the processes and
activities of a travel agency website.

To develop a web based application which includes:

1. To provide best travelling services to the customers and travel agents.

2. To provide a search platform where a tourist can find their tour places according to
their choices and location they want to visit.
3. It is a step by step procedures i.e., all steps are comes after one another. So, every step is
needed to be first completed then only user can move the other steps, in order to checkout
easily.
4. To create and promote forms of tourism that provide healthy interaction opportunities for
tourists and locals and increase better understanding of different Indian cultures, customs,
lifestyles, traditional knowledge and believes.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION
I. ADMINISTRATOR MODULE:
This module provides administrator related functionality. Administrator manages all information
and has access rights to add, delete, edit and view the data related to places, travels, routes,
bookings, restaurants etc.

1. Check for LOGIN: Verify for Login data of user as well as admin to login into
system. After verification, login into the system.
2. Set Detail of travelling And Tourism: Add detail about trains, flights, buses, Hotel
and Tour packages and store all detail. Admin can also update date about Tour.
3. Registration: If new user is entered in system this process begins. New User Register
and Sign Up. And set their password used. Register for User add his/her data.

II. TRAVELS MODULE:

This module provides the details of various travel agencies. A user can select the appropriate
agency depending on convenience and accessibility.

1. Searching: User search for Trains, Buses, Package, Flight and Hotels.
1.1 Accept Filtering Criteria: This process accepts searching for Tourism and
travelling.
1.2 Fetch Details: This process find the result of searching by user and fetch
details.
2. Check for Availability: This process is for Finding Seat, Room and Flight availability.
2.1 Obtain Detail: Accept detail about specific hotel, train, flight, buses
availability.

 2.2 Verify availability: After checking it verify display availability or
unavailability.
2.3 Count No. seat, room etc.: Display No. of seat, room which are available.

III. RESERVATIONS MODULE:

This module provides functionalities that allow a user to book tickets or cancel previously
booked tickets. The module maintains the details of all reservations made so far and allows
administrator to either confirm or reject the bookings.

1. Booking Process: This process is main process of system where user book train
reservation, Flight reservation, hotel room, our trip Or package or Bus.
2. Make Payment: Users pay for booking by their credit card or debit card online
payment. Giving payment receipt to user and storing payment data. This process also
refund amount after cancelation of booking.
3. Booking Cancellation: User apply for booking cancellation. Refund to user after
deducting cancellation charge.

IV. TESTIMONIALS MODULE:

Users of this application can post their opinions, complaints and suggestions regarding this portal
and services to the administrator. Accordingly, the administrator can take various steps to act on
the complaints and suggestions.

1. Feedback and Communication: User gives his opinion about the system and
communicates with admin. Admin modifies in system after getting user opinion.

FUTURE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

In India, tourism industry is experiencing an exponential growth with rise in foreign

exchange earnings contributing to around 5.9% Gross Domestic Product (GDP). As per the
World Travel and Tourism Council, the tourism industry is likely to generate USD 121.4
billion economic activity by 2022 creating hope for an optimistic future. With the evolution
of the internet and increase in internet literacy rate, now the people have a choice to move
from counter booking to online booking and they are ready to pay for the convenience and
better service which the online travel portals offers them, and all these key factors makes sure
that, in the coming years the online travel business sector will immensely boom.

With the advent of Word Wide Web, it is observed widely that there is a rapid rise in the
number of online travel portals which provides last minute holiday packages and from the
comfort of home, one can surf the internet and access a plethora of information on various
tour packages, look up for holiday destinations, getting hotel information, booking travel
tickets online and everything made easy at a click of a button.
