EOT Claims Importance

EOT Claims Importance

EOT Claims are the most complicated claims and they are
subject to huge argument between the claim parties.
Furthermore, although the extension of time claim would
increase the project duration by a certain number of days,
but once it is approved, another claim of cost will be raised
based on the EOT to recovery of delay (or prolongation)
costs incurred due to the delays
Always remember Time = Money

How often EOT claims happen in
construction projects

Short answer is very often. The long answer is, during my 14 years of
experience in construction projects I never seen a project started and
completed without a single EOT claim. Although, EOT is almost in every
construction project, but still many contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
could not develop a defendable EOT and claim their rights for additional time
and cost. I hope that you will be the one who can assist you organization next
time they face such a problem and after study of this course, you will be able
to develop your EOT.
