Course Description Architectural Design can be presented with drawings and models. Even drawings are
essential for architects, sometimes to express ideas only with drawings may be
difficult or gives ambigious effect to people. On the contrary architectural models are
very handy tools to express the drawn ideas in shortest way for certain. It gives people
completed effect about project. The quality of materials used and high crafting skill
levels increase the effect of models and presentation.

Course Objectives In this studio, students are expected to learn the basic techniques of model making
through and after design process. They will develop skills to use different kinds of
materials, understand the concept of modeling and integration of model making into
the design process.

Attendance 80% attendance is mandatory. Students are required to provide models during studio
hours. Simply being present in class does not mean to be marked as present. To sign
the roster, students must present an adequate amounts of work and receive critiques.

Submission Models should be submitted in the required format. Late submissions will not be
accepted. Submissions and dates are subject to change. Changes, if any, will be
announced in due time.
