“Cultural relativism says that it is not each person but each person’s culture that is the

I understand ethics to be the morals and mentality we are born with. It is developed soon
after with who raises us and their beliefs of what is right and wrong. Once we are introduced into
society this philosophy changes again, unless a person keeps the ethical egoism that they
hopefully were introduced to first and hung on to. I think that if your core beliefs are doing right
from the beginning, and have good convictions we will face adversity, pushing through them,
without hurting anyone else in the process. It requires doing the right things. Divisions that we
employee of our own futures reflect on others. How we integrate these visions through our
behaviors and other people, is the culture that we will pass on to our children.
disadvantages, with the correct ethics, one’s choice should still be, to be help another, even if it
isn’t going to help yourself. Ethics are not just about doing right or wrong, it’s about the
mentality overall within the choices you make every day. Consistent behaviors reflect on our
values, and we should cherish what we were taught, if we were fortunate enough as children to
learn what good ethics would be. For me it was learning about Christ, and how he lived.
Understanding other people’s problems as our own, and having a desire to help them as it were
your own need, is a value I would pass on to my daughter. I plan to learn much more of the
