ABSTRACT
The project undertaken for Summer Internship Program is Product Life Cycle with respect
to IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co Ltd. The main of the project is to observe the four main
stages of the life cycle of the product i.e Market introduction stage, Growth stage, Maturity
stage, Saturation and decline stage.

The project deals with the study of the product life cycle of the incomesurance product of IDBI
federal and to measure this a questionnaire has been prepared to know in which stage of the
product life cycle is the incomesurance product is best suited.

The methodology so far adapted is content analysis as it mainly deals with analysis and
observation of the communication, rather than behavior or physical objects. The marketing
research applications involving observing and analyzing the content or message of
advertisements, newspapers articles, television, radio programs etc.
INTRODUCTION

This project mainly deals with the study of the product life cycle of the incomesurance product of IDBI federal
life insurance. In this project we see how the incomesurance product has been going on till now starting from
its market introduction stage, As it has not yet reached to saturation and decline stage I would find ways how
to continue the product without letting it go to the saturation and decline stage.

1) Purpose of the project


The main purpose of the project is to show the life cycle of the Incomesurance product of IDBI Life
Insurance and to show the advantages of Incomesurance over other similar products of other
insurance providing corporations like (LIC). A brief introduction about the other products and their life
cycle would be explained.
2) Scope of the study
The scope of the project is that we get about the effectiveness of the product and how it has been able
satisfy the present customers and retain new customers also.
3) Limitations
i. Some products reach to decline stage directly without going to maturity stage, as a result it
might a bit difficult to study the life cycle of products like these.
ii. The sample size is limited to fit the time frame of the project.
iii. The awareness level of respondents may be low and hence can lead to variations in responses.
4) Methodology
The methodology used in this product is by collecting both PRIMARY DATA and SECONDARY DATA.
PRIMARY DATA:- Conducting the research by collecting the information in the form of questionnaires.
SECONDARY DATA:- Collecting data from company website and other sources of information.
PLAN OF COMPLETION
The project is mainly divided into three phases. The first phase is collecting the relevant work that
would help me to accomplish my project and this is done through secondary sources.

The second phase of the project deals with preparation of the questionnaire which I am yet to prepare.

The third phase of the project deals with collecting the responses from the sample size of 100 and more
and analyzing the data obtained.
