F e e t ( m a k e 4 ) :

Using fawn colour, 6 sc in a circle. Sl st to join. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing, and fin-
ish off.

T a i l :

Using fawn colour, chain 7. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 5 chains (6 sl st in total). Cut
yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

E a r s ( m a k e 2 ) :

Using black yarn, chain 4. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook.
ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook.
ch 1, sl st in the very first ch that you made. Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
You should end up with a small triangle shape. If your triangle has a hole in the middle, use a
smaller crochet hook.

F e l t p i e c e s :

Using dark brown felt, cut out 2 eye circles and a snout shape (use the template on the last
page). Since the eye circles are so small, you might find it easier to cut them without the tem-
plate. To do this, first cut out a felt square that’s 1 cm / 0.4” wide. Cut away the corners of the
square to get a circle shape.

assembly
1. Sew the 4 feet onto the bottom of the body, mak-
ing sure that your pug can stand up straight. You
can use pins to hold the feet in place before sewing.

2. Sew the tail onto the back of your pug, between

the 3rd and 4th rows of the body. Sew the tip of the
tail down so that the tail curls nicely.

3. Pin the felt snout onto the face - the top of the
snout should be in line with the middle of the face.
Pin the two eye circles on either side of the snout.

Sew the eye circles on first, then sew the snout on

top.

Using black thread, sew the eyes in place. Use a

few straight stitches to embroider a nose and
mouth. Make one small pink stitch for a tongue.

4. Finally, attach the ears by sewing one side of the

triangle down. Use the pictures as a guide. The ears
should be about 5 stitches apart at the top of the
head.
