About the Design

This Wrap Me On Jacket is a chic crochet garment, perfect to wear at the office or on a walk to
complete your outfit in a unique way.The design is very simple and you don’t have to be an
experienced crocheter to make it. It’s basically a bigger scarf with a sleeve at the end. It’s
worked from the bottom to the top, starting with the back side. After a few rounds we will extend
the length with some chain stitches to make the sleeve. Then we will continue to work the new
number of stitches until we finish the back side.

After finishing the back side we will continue to work the front side with the sleeve and then after
finishing the sleeve, we will continue to work the front panel. At the end we will sew the inner
part of the sleeve and the side of the jacket and be done.

This Pattern is available for sizes from S-2XL and is written in US terms.The final
measurements for each size are in the diagram below.
*On the first line you have the values in cm and on the second one in inches.

About the stitch used in this pattern
For this design I used a simple V stitch and it turn out just great. The V stitch is easy to make:
Instead of making 1 dc after another, you will make 2 dc in the same stitch and skip 1 st.
Bellow you will find a stitch chart:

*If you want to modify the length of the Wrap Me On Jacket, just take into consideration that this
pattern requires a multiple of 2 plus 1 sts.

Now that we have all the details in place, let’s start to make the Wrap Me On Jacket!

Back panel
First the foundation chain:
S = ch 143 sts
M = ch 149 sts
L = ch 155 sts
XL = ch 161 sts
XXL = ch 165 sts

Row 1
Ch 2, 1 dc in the 3rd st (ch 2 at the beginning of each row doesn’t count as a st), skip 1 st, [ 2 dc
in the next one (V st) , skip 1]. Repeat the section between [ ] to the end of the row, ending the
row with skip 1 and 1 dc in the last st. Ch 2 and turn.

Row 2
1 dc in the 1st, 1 V st (2 dc) between the 2 dc that makes the V st of the previous round. Repeat
and make 1 V st to the end of the row, ending the row with 1 dc in the last st. Ch 2 and turn.

Row 3 - 22
Repeat row 2.
* It’s the same number of rows for each size and represents the high of the jacket to the armpit.
If you want it to be longer, on this section you should add a few more rows.

Row 23
At the end of row 22, we will have to extend the length of our work to make the sleeve and we
will make a chain of:

S = 29 sts
M = 31 sts
L = 31 sts
XL = 33 sts
XXL = 33 sts

Ch 2, 1 dc in the 3rd st, skip 1, 1 v st in the next st. Repeat this section until you get at the end
of the extra chain, then start making the V stitch as you worked the others rows.

Now we will continue to work the rows with the sleeve until we will get to the desired high of the
sleeve and finish the back panel:

S = 14 rows
M = 15 rows
L = 16 rows
XL = 18 rows
XXL = 20 rows

Front Panel
The front panel is worked continuing the back side, but this time we will work the sts for the front
side of the sleeve and the sts for the front panel. You will have in total counting from the end of
the sleeve and put the st marker in the last counted st:

S = 51 sts
M = 55 sts
L = 59 sts
XL =61 sts
XXL =63 sts

Continue working the V st only in the sts that you marked until you finish the front side of the
sleeve, meaning that you will have the same number of rows as you made after extended the
back panel:

S = 14 rows
M = 15 rows
L = 16 rows
XL = 18 rows
XXL = 20 rows

After finishing the front side of the sleeve, is time to continue working only the front panel of the
jacket.

Now depending where your previous row ends, you may have to start the next round by slip sts
of the sleeve and continue with the V st for the remaining sts, or start the row as usual and end
the row in the st before the sleeve starts.

Repeat this row until you have in total the same number of rows that you have on the back
panel before the sleeve extension. If you didn’t choose to have a higher Wrap Me On Jacket,
then you have to work 22 rows.

And the construction of our Wrap me on Jacket is done. We will only have to sew
the inner side of the sleeve and the side of the jacket and then it’s ready to wrap you!
