1. Objectives:

2. Introduction:
TCS is the Pakistan Based courier service. The company was started in 1983 and now it serves
five continents and has 2,000 Locations in Pakistan. The company also has an airline for cargo
purposes only which it uses at many of the airports in Pakistan.

Purpose:
There is need of transfer products or documents from one place to another that are located
far away and its difficult to go that place because its time consuming and costly , so the purpose
of TCS is to eliminate these problem . Our system would be a recognized and respected as
professional, innovative and knowledge based services enterprise. This system embeds internet
based technologies into the internal operating structures and as business solutions for customers ;
with customer, employee and shareholder interests at the core of its operations; demonstrating a
clear concern for ethical conduct and good corporate citizenship. This document contains overall
discription f the system , system features and ts functional , non-functional requirements .

Project Scope :
The purpose of TCS is to ease the lives of citizens of Pakistan by helping them in transferring
their products or documents from one place to another place that is located far away. We will
have a system supporting hundreds of major cities around the country . Above all, we all trying
to provide a good user experience along with the best pricing available. Tcs will aims to create
internal and external strategic alliances, customer friendly products, creative delivery channels
and build strong customer relationships. TCS Financial Services provides the right financial
solutions to customers by focusing on technology, human resources, and product development. A
user friendly interface and environment of this software wll also benefit the users.

3. Overall Description:
Product Perspective:

When you need to transfer products or documents from one place to another that are located far
away and its difficult to go at that place because its time consuming and costly , so our system pu
TCS helps to eliminate these problem . Our system will provide you the services that helps you
to transfer you goodies to the desired location or you will be able to receive the poducts from
your doorstep . The benefit of our system helps students and business man alot because they
have to send their documents or result cards for jobs or admission , by ourr system they can
easily achieve their task .

Product Features :

The main purpose of tcs is to ease the lives of citizens so it must contain all the features that are
benificial to them . therefore , the core features of TCS are:

 Delivery on time.
 Safety insurance.
 Tracking of order.
 Tcs card .
 Tcs hazir service.

User class and characteristics:

There are three classes in TCS . The first one is Sender , the person who will send his document
or product to another city . Tcs will help them in tranferring their product at less time and at low
cost . The Second class is dispatch rider , the person who will take the parcel from sender and
deliver to the desired location , he must have given all the information and time limit , within he
has to deliver the product . The third one is Reciver , the person who will receive the parcel by
rider . The parcel is deliver to the doorstep of reciever and with the service of safety ensureness
of his/her product.

Operating Environment :

The tcs system for record keeping and other information shall operate on windows 8.0 or up
versions, for any latest MAC or LINUX OS.

Design and Implementation Constraints :

The Tranzum Company and Services should be thorougly developed in Java Langauge Platform
on NETBEAN integrated development environment. Tcs should be proficient and memory
management should be taken into account . Interface should be GUI, user friendly . This system
must be scheduled to be completed under the given time of 4 months. System must be secure .
The interface should be provided in langauge English .

4. System features:
Delivery on time :

- Description and priority

This feature will be benificial for customers because they can get or deliver their product on
time through the courier service. There can be a documents like resultcard , atms , debit card
etc .
On priority basis this feature has high priority.

- Stimulus/Response sequence :
Customers have already given the addresses of desired location , so the dispatch rider will
take the parcel and deliver to the destination .

Safety insurance :

- Description and priority

This feature wil be benificiant for sender and reciver both . This feature will help them to
get their product as it is. If there is an important document then it will be deliver without
any loss .
On priority basis this feature has high priority.

- Stimulus/Response sequence

When the dispatch rider takes the parcel from sender location then our system will provide
them the best packaging so that the product or document inside it must be protected .

Tcs Card :

- Description and priority

The main purpose of this card is to offer hassle free prepaid service to the customers . user
can load balance in their cards and pay online.
On priority basis this feature has low priority.

- Stimulus/Response sequence
Card holder will be offererd reward points on each transaction they made . These point
can be redeemed through various channels or be utilized through tcs services .

Tracking of order :

- Description and priority

This feature will be benificial for the customers to track ther order. When you book your
consignment with TCS, rest assured that you are in total control of knowing where exactly
your shipment is at a particular time during its transit, finally leading you to know to
whom it was delivered and at what time and date. TCS has made it all the more convenient
for you to track.
On priority basis it has low priority.

- Stimulus/Response sequence
Select a TCS Tracking Tool from the choices on portal of tcs to receive updates and
current status of your shipment any time you want to know the status. Or you will be given
the tracking number of your parcel , you can track by using that number too.

Tcs Hazir:

- Description and priority

TCS HAZIR Time Choice enables customers to get their shipments delivered on the day
and time of their choice. Unlike conventional courier delivery, TCS HAZIR Time Choice
service also offers customers the facility of refund if the shipment is not delivered on time.
It ranked in 6 priority basis.

- Stimulus/Response sequence
The customers will get Delivery confirmation via SMS alert or phone call , 24/7 Delivery
and Money Back Guarantee. You will be given the tcs hep centre number or you can
easily contact them on their portal in case of any mishap or query

Functional requirements :
1. Delivery on time : Feature will ensures that the products are deliver to their desired
location on point . This is benificial for reciever and sender.
2. Tracking of order : There would be a tracking number that is sent to a customer and
customer can track their order. This is benificial for the sender and reciever both.
3. Safety insurance : The products should be safely deliver to their desired location . This
feature is benificial for sender and reciever both.
4. TCS card : Customers are rewarded with loyalty points based on the amount of revenue
a shipment generates or the number of transactions that are made. For customers.
5. TCS Hazir Service : TCS Hazir is available 24/7, 365 days a year. TCS Hazir facilitates
its customers in their fast-paced life by taking care of their courier needs. Fo customer it
is benificial.

5. External Interface requirements :

User interface:
The whole interface should be GUI (graphical user interface) based to make it more user
friendly. There will be user interface for every single functionality with appropriate logo images.
Such a user environment will allow any kind of user, even with less computer usage experience
to manipulate things around. There will be buttons with images to provide help regarding any
functionality. By hovering mouse on any button, user will be able to see its shortcut key.

Hardware interface:
Internet connection for interacting with the server and local computers for any help or any other
requirement. A system with P4 processor; 1 GB DDR3 RAM and database memory. A SATA
hard drive of minimum 80 GB. A NVIDIA or Intel graphics card of 1 GB minimum.

Software interface :
Java Development Kit version 8.1 is required, to provide the JVM (Java virtual machine) JIT
(Java In-time Compiler) for execution and running of TCS, which will be written in JAVA 8.
Microsoft Netframework 12.0 and direct X 11 to support GUI of LMS. JAVA NetBeans IDE 8.2
for writing the source java files. Adobe Flash Player 6.11 to run JAVA Applet in the browser.

Communication Interface :
The TCP/IP Protocol for communication with the server. HTTPS protocol for secure browsing.
Google Chrome 13.3, Internet Explorer 11.0, Mozilla firefox 12.1 are the recommended
browsers to communicate the JAVA Applet with the server.

6. Non-Functional Requirements:
Safety Requirements:
Checking the fact that all clients must be attached to one server, so there is an appropriate control
of the information. Information of server database can be hacked if there is any involvement of
3rd party application. To avoid that, unrecognized devices/connections must be blocked. The
numbers names addresses of customers should be secured.

Availability :
The System should be available to the user all the time. The system should always have
something to function and always have error messages popup in case of any system component
failure.

Efficiency :
The System should generate its results with as high as 99% of accuracy. The system should
provide right tools to provide all its functionality.

Portability :
As this System is to be working on multiple platforms, to make it portable, JAVA programming
language is used because in JAVA there is two way translation of Code. Which makes it reliable
to work on any platform given.

Testability :
As to make the software correct, its multiple testing on various platforms should be done. Unit
testing, integration testing and system testing to complete its testing phase with maximum
correctness.

Other Requirement:
New techniques should be applied and its database should be transferred to MYSQL server. If
any of the legal constraints are broken even after review, they must be corrected within time.
This TCS should be upgraded from time to time and previous features should be reused to make
it more cost effective.
