Lizzie and Jack live on a big farm in Dakota in the USA.

Life on a farm is never boring. They grow crops and

vegetables and keep animals. They have twenty pigs,
seven horses, three goats, fifty sheep, two hundred
hens and chicks, thirty ducks, five cows, ten turkeys,
fifteen geese and a donkey. They have f our dogs
and two cats. They have an orchard; there are lots
of fruit trees in it, and a vineyard where they grow

Lizzie and Jack usually get up before sunrise and never stop

times a day. She feeds the dogs and the cats two times a day. She generally waters the
plants in the morning and in the evening. Jack works with the tractor every day, but Lizzie
rarely drives it. They clean the barn five times a week. Jack cuts the grass four times a
month and paints the fence once a year. They have a pickup truck but they ride a horse very
often.
When Lizzie and Jack want to have fun and relax, sometimes they drive to the
town at the weekend, where they usually meet and dance with their friends.
