Subject : Technoculture Festival 2018

An essential meeting of the Technoculture Festival 2018 is to be held soon.

It is important that a quorum is achieved for this meeting in order for all discussions and
decisions to be validated.

Attendance is compulsory for all group members.

1. Introduction
1.1 Address by the Chairman
The Chairman called the meeting to be in session
and thanked everyone for coming.
1.2 All committee introduce themselves
The committee voiced their name and department.

2. Tentative
2.1 8:00 am – 8:30 am
Preparation of the booth. Everyone involved.
2.2 8:30 am – 9:00 am
Opening ceremony. The VIPs and the guests will be
welcomed to our booth.
2.3 9:00 am – 10:00 am
Games. Person in charge for the activities will
handle “Finding The Next Ronaldo” and language
game.
2.4 10:00 am – 11:00 am
“Art Attack”. The each participant will decorate
their own art on a paper plate. This also be handle
by activity department.
2.5 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
8 members from the team will perform the dancing
performance on the stage.
2.6 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
“Delicioso! Otimo!” is food tasting session to
introduce people to our product “Rissois”.

3. Activities
3.1 Performance
4 pairs, boys and girls of our group will participated
in dancing performance. The “Padri Se Chang” song
has been chosen for the performance as the
melody and dance illustrate the cheerful and
voracious Portuguese Eurasian community in
Malacca.

Amanda was asking about the time that will be


allocated to practice the dance and Sofea said
“everyday after Isya’ prayer”.
3.2 Art Attack
The visitors will have the chances to produce their
own work of art on a paper plate. Brushes and
watercolours will be provided. The visitors can
bring their masterpiece home. This creative activity
is to expose the Portuguese’s famous tile art to
people.
3.3 Finding The Next Ronaldo
This is a game that require the participants to
juggle a futsal ball using their legs, head or
shoulders. The game is over when the ball hit the
ground. Snacks will be prepared as the prizes.

A question had been voiced by Hafiz which was


“why use futsal ball instead of soccer ball?”. The
answer was the futsal ball is much easy to handle
and juggle.
3.4 Language Game
The purpose of this game is to expose the official
language of Portuguese ethnic to the people. The
contestants need to match the English words and
also Portuguese words that have been prepared in
separate papers correctly. Only the person who
answers all the question correctly will have the
prize.

Faiz was asking about the given prize if the


participants did not manage all correctly and
Khairulddin said only all corrects will be given prize.

4. Product
4.1 The Rissois
The Rissois is the traditional food of Portuguese. It
looks like a small croquette, enclosed in pastry and
rolled in breadcrumbs. The sample will be prepared
to the visitors

What is the ingredient and process to make the


Rissois? – Prepare the dough and fillings. Put the
fillings inside the dough that has been mould it into
half moon shape. Next, dunk the Rissois in an egg
and breadcrumbs. Lastly fry the Rissois.

A suggestion to make a mushroom soup as a


backup as mushroom soup is easy to handle during
and after the making the process. The team can
allocate more time and man power to decorate the
booth.

Dzul questioned the budget for mushroom soup.


The mushroom soup only demand 1/3 of Rissois
budget. The mushroom soup can be produced a lot
with low cost.

5. Marketing Presentation
5.1 Social Media
The social media such as Instagram has been
created to promote our event and progress.
5.2 Flyers
The flyers already been distributed to UniKL MICET
students.
5.3 Booth
The booth will be ornamented to resemble the
Portuguese culture.
5.4 Poster
The poster will be set up at places where people
pass by frequent.

Khairulddin voiced out a question about the


marketing progress on the day of the event. The
answer was the best speaker from our booth will
wandering the hall and distribute the flyers.

6. Outfit
6.1 Costume
A couple costume will be wear by the speakers also
be our main presenters. The costumes were
planned to be rent at Portuguese village.

Is there any sponsorship? – only manage to get the


sponsorship for the couple costume. Thus the other
members will wear mix and match clothing.

7. Equipment
7.1 Permission
The permission to use the food lab had already been
made. The equipments allowed to use will be the
knife, pot, stove, can opener and dough roller.
Please ensure the equipments are in good condition
before and after using.
7.2 Date and time
2nd November 2018 from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

8. Financial Report
8.1 Budget for the event
Total Budget = RM441.95
Raw Material = RM131.54
Item Activities = RM50.41
Decoration & Advertisement = RM60.00
Costume = RM200.00

The expect production is 54 unit.


4 pieces per unit.
Price is RM5 per unit.
Estimated income is RM265.
The profit expected is RM133.46.
The budget for outfit is too high. Hence, to reduce
budget we will mix and match.
8.2 Fund
Each members paid RM10 and the sponsorship from
UniKL MICET is RM200.
