Assignment 3

Assignment 3 is a follow-up of Assignment 2 for which you had selected and evaluated a
text for teaching. For the first part of Assignment 3, present a teaching plan that briefly
describes all the activities you could conduct to exploit this text at your selected student
level. Your teaching plan may be for as many lessons as you think are necessary to teach all
aspects of the text. For the second part of the assignment, prepare a detailed, step-by-step
plan for ONE of the lessons. You should aim at integrating at least two language skills or
including a component of grammar in your lesson plan. Use the lesson plan format provided
below.

NOTE THIS ASSIGNMENT HAS TWO PARTS:

Part A: Briefly describe your teaching plan for a series of lessons based on your selected
text.

Part B: For ONE of the lessons you have described, provide a detailed lesson plan in the
specified format describing the step-by-step teaching procedures you wish to adopt.
Mention the learning and teaching resources or teaching aids that you would require at
each step. Make sure you clearly indicate the teaching objectives, expected learning
outcomes and skill focus for the planned lesson. You may refer to the KSSR syllabus to help
you write the objectives and the learning outcomes.

YOU ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO ATTACH A COPY OF YOUR SELECTED TEXT TO THIS
ASSIGNMENT.

Your response should be based on your own ideas and written in your own words.

Remember to use only standard fonts such as Times New Roman, Calibri or Arial in 12 point
and 1.5 line spacing for your assignment.
