Workshop Objectives :-
The use of structural steel for Industrial structures is very common. There is great scope for the development
of the structural potential of steel, taking advantage of its high strength and stiffness, automated design and
fabrication, speed of erection and improved means of protection against corrosion and fire, to produce
elegant, economic and durable structures. This workshop will focus on the introduction of steel structures,
theory and design of steel structures. Workshop is based on Revised IS – 800 – 2008 code. At the end of
the workshop, the participants are expected to -
• Have a basic understanding of the behavior of steel structural systems including Pre Engineered
Buildings.
• To develop technical competence in the design of Steel Structures using computers.
