In order to create an innovative environment the nature of organisation plays a vital role. the
environment will have the following characteristics :
1. Power distribution should be in a hierarchical order- this will ensure a competitive spirit
2. Management style should be such that everyone in my team agrees with the stye and
cooperate willingly
3. Rewardful management behaviour that is employ centred, market oriented,
developement seeking etc
Australian public service commission gave 10 guiding principles for building innovation
that would be adapted and considered to build innovation in my team. Following are
the principles :
1. Integration of innovation into organisations strategy and planning
2. Foster and attract innovative people into the system
3. Tap into the ideas and experience of stakeholders
4. Develop organisational capacity to facilitate and manage production
5. Provide safe spaces
6. Facilitate networking
7. Build a supportive culture
8. Use governments influence and advantages to spur innovation
9. Measure and evaluate your results and share what you learn
10. Make public information accessible
