INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background

Cimanggis – Cibitung Toll Road Construction Project Section 2 in

MM2100 consists of several components of work. The Construction is
located in Cibitung from STA. 49+015 – STA. 50+373 with the length
1,358 km.

The job items of Construction in section 2 MM2100 are bored pile,

footing, abutment, pillar, pierhead, and girder. Based on time
schedule, Construction in section 2 started on 29th September 2015
and will be completed on 2019.

1.2 Purpose of the Cimanggis - Cibitung Construction

a. To reduce congestion on Jagorawi Toll Road and Jakarta –

Cikampek Toll Road.
b. To facilitate access to Cibitung,Cikarang and surroundings area
from Cimanggis without having to go through Jakarta - Cikampek

2.2 Work Progress

2.2.1 Weekly Progress In November 2016
Work progress achieved in November 2016, can be presented as follows :

From the table above, It appears that every week there has been a delay in the execution
of the work.

The main thing that causes delays is because the contractor cannot realize theprogress
achievement planned because there is no or not yet free land for construction needs that is
in accordance with the planned implementation to be carried out.

Work Achievement In November 2016 : 0.362%

Work Planning for November 2016 : 11.623%

Of the two values above, it shows that the implementation in November was smaller than
planned where there was a progress deviation is 11.261%.

These conditions indicate that the project completion time is likely to be longer and will
also result in additional work costs.

2.2.2 Cumulative Progress until November 2016

Overall, the progress achived by 30 November 2016 is as follows :

Work Planning : 92.78%

Work Realization : 30.73 %

Deviation : 62.05 %

From the significant amount of deviation above, there should be an anticipation or

breakdown of land acquisition specifically in order to overcome the conditions above.
 a. Documentation of Progress

Boring a hole, using crane with mechanic soilmec bore machine, to make a
pile as a footing and the reinforcement steel will be placed at the hole to
stregthen the pile.

On casting the lean concrete, the soil is dug 10 cm for the work floor.
Furthermore, the process of making work floors is 10 cm thick as a pile cap.
The work floor is made to simplify the implementation of pilecap work.
Pillar/Pier serves as a support for the upper structure and distributes the
weight of the upper structure to the ground. The pier work in Elevated
MM2100 is divided into 3 stages, according to the height.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND SOLUTIONS
3.1 Problems Encountered and Solutions
There are the problem and also the solution happened in
Cimanggis – Cibitung Toll Road Construction MM2100 Section 2 From
STA. 49+015 – STA. 50+373 that is:
Problem
The bored pile drilling process is
carried out after the surveyor has
made the marking and
numbering. But due to an error
during tagging, the pilecap
design on the P15A changed so
that the shape didn’t match with
the plan. The first design is
square, but the shape changes
without entering one bored pile
point.
The pillar design of the
Cimanggis - Cibitung Elevated
Toll Road Project in MM2100 is
the Single Pillar which consists of
9 units and Portal Pillars totaling
46 pieces. But in the
implementation process, the
number changed because the
loads on P16 and P17 were too
large so that the initial design in
the form of Pillars with 2 portals
turned into pillars 3 portals.
However, the placement of the
new pier was hampered due to
its location on the road body.
On the Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll
Road MM2100 section 2, there
are 3 (three) SUTT lanes which
location inhibits the construction
of the pierhead and installation of
the girder of the Cimanggis -
Solution
Errors in borepile quitting can
be caused by a utility that is
lacking during the marking
process by the surveyor. The
solution is to make a new drill
point by paying attention to
the utilities at the drilling
location.
Before the implementation of
the additional portal maker,
the traffic that crosses the
location should be deflected
first, so the activities of road
users couldn’t be disrupt. In
addition to this additional
portal, borepile and pilecap
foundations are not designed
because the large dimensions
of the pilecap can cover road
access across the project.
Coordinate the alignment of
work implementation in the
field with relevant parties in
the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll
Road Construction Work and
also other projects which are
Cibitung Toll Road project, in the Cimanggis - Cibitung
(points P6, P7, P10 and P27). toll road corridor (PLN and
MM2100 Industrial Area), so
that they can be held in
accordance with the planned
deadline and minimize
operational disruptions to the
Cimanggis - Cibitung toll road.
 CHAPTER IV
CONCLUSION

Cimanggis – Cibitung Toll Road Project Construction MM2100 in Section

2 from STA. 49+015 – STA. 50+373 , the percentage of work items that can
be achieved on 5th August 2018 is 29,073 %, while the progress planned is
78,57%. So, the percentage of work remaining is 49,497%.

This project is delayed because of some problems; there has been an

accident about the human error, change of structure design, and Internal
major problem. Therefore, PT Waskita Karya needs to take some action to
overcome problems, by complete the utility sterilization process at the
project location quickly, so that every target of this construction project can
be reached on time.
