Mga Tunog hin Gugma

Concert Review no.2

UPVTC—after the successful event of Pasundayag Kaupod hi Joey Ayala, they

again hosted another marvellous concert was featured in the 3rd floor Library Building.
With the Sinirangan Chamber Singers as the main performers, together with the Dulos
Rondalla rendered songs of love, faith, and compassion to their audiences, perhaps one
of the best concert we had ever experienced.

For this concert, I would call myself as a privileged listener. I say this because I am
not a music expert nor a music lover, thus it would be hard for me to critically judge the
whole performance. I wouldn’t be able to identify what went wrong during the
performance, if there were incorrect notes [played. On the other hand, I could say that
even not knowing the technicalities during the concert, the whole performance was
soothing and brought my mind into peaceful thoughts. There were total of fifteen music
performed: Shine Jesus Shine, Tenderly, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, Unforgettable, Nasaan
Ka Irog, When I Fall in Love, I Will Be Here, Now That I Have You, Isang Linggong Pag-
ibig, I Believe, An Iroy nga Tuna, Paraiso, Cha Cha Barsilon, True Colors, and Hibang sa
Awit.

Each piece gave a lasting impression to the audiences. During the concert, the
performers were captivating, energetic, and emotional. The pieces that we cant forget
was the kundiman “Nasaan ka Irog” which was sung by Daniel Triste, I Believe by Ms.
MJ Egloso and Jefferson Cabataña, and the “Isang Linggong Pag-ibig” which then
eventually transformed into stomping and screaming laughs because the crowd couldn’t
resist their excitement and joy and started to move in tune of the music.

The Sinirangan Chamber Singers’ “Mga Tunog hin Gugma” live performance at
the UPVTC Library Building last February 24, 2019 was a king of a show one will never
forget. Every audiences expected that the performers filled every inch of the stage with
their presence, excitement and joy as they perform.
