(iii) Container
Container of battery is made of suitable flame
retardant Polypropylene Copolymer Plastic
(PPCP) with high insulating strength to resist
acids and low permeability to water vapours.
The container is enclosed in epoxy coated steel
trays. The steel tray is so designed as to permit
both vertical and horizontal stacking of cells.
(iv) Electrolyte
The sulfuric acid and water used as electrolyte
for the battery confirming to IS: 266–77 and IS :
1069–64 respectively.
(v) Separators
Separators consists of either
