Directions
1. Complete the worksheet. Have your teacher check your answers.
2. Choose a pair (or trio) of homophones. Write your own sentences on the scrolls,
using the homophones correctly. Underline and highlight the homophone in each
sentence. (Highlight with a yellow crayon.)
3. Repeat Step #2 with the other scroll.
4. Color the jester and the title box.
5. Cut out the jester and title box.
6. Get a sheet of construction paper.
7. Glue the jester at the bottom of the paper.
8. Glue the title box above the jester. (Put three
dots of glue along the bottom of the title box.
The top of the box will not be glued to paper.)
Teacher Notes
The teacher will need to gather the following materials:
• Worksheet and jester image (I staple these two pages into a set)
• Title box (1 per student)
• Sheets of construction paper (1 per student)
• Student directions (I place these under my document camera for students to refer
to as they complete the project.)

The students will need:


• Pencil
• Glue
• Scissors
• Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
