: Can Mr. Victor tell us a bit about this company? (bpstar Thermo Control Electric Sdn Bhd)

: We are import and delivery our electronic devices and compartment to Malaysia itself and also to Japan.

: What type of heater in this company have manufacturing so far?

: There are many type of heater we have manufacture for example air heater and water heater depend
on what kind of type chemical used.

: What the special requirement needed to install the heater in the product.

: Every heater have specific requirement to ensure water for heating at the desired temperature which at
100oC and more. Technician also recommend and give suggestion to the customer what type of heater
they want use in their operation. Mostly, the requirement also depend on the process chemical heater.
We (dpStar Thermo Control Electric Sdn Bhd) have heater for process chemical heater, spring heater (air
heater), taster heater (normally use in machine water – Anti condensation). This heater is depend on
thetemperature desired of water. For example, hot air blower, oven furnace, tefton heater (similar with
heater chemical).

: We are making the innovation from combination with pen and heater which attach the heater at the end
of the pen. In Mr. Chong option regarding our project in our course ENT600, what can you evaluated from
our design and project?

: If you want to design for your project, the important thing is depend on the length of the heater and we
also can manufacture based on what design of heater the customer needed. Every part of the process,
following by the heater, the most necessary device are controller which to control the parameter (pH,
temperature of water) and sensor in the product. We also provide supplies to the University Sains
Malaysia (USM). For example, chemical process devices regarding the heater to USM.

: Which one of the suitable heater that should we use in our project?

: We have typical element (open coil element for heating) and defrost heater which is suitable for your
project (pad heating USB). Some of the heater are not suitable to heat water at 100oC. For the silicon pad-
heater, this pad heater is below heating temperature 100oC which is not suitable to heat water under
100oC. Normally the project depend on how much capacity use in their project. For example, some project
need bigger capacity and volume, so need higher heat supply to heating the water.

: May we know the employee here all are the graduation or not?

: Mostly the worker here are graduate with Diploma certificate, Bachelor and have also Master in their
certificate.

: May we know a bit about your costumer and kind specification their looking for?

: We have a lot of customers from Penang and manufacture for their design. We also can design for them
and just do what design their wanted and needed based on temperature desired in their project.
: Is that ok if we want to know in term of marketing of this company regarding the profit if you don’t mind?

: According to the annually profit, the profit of this company last year is about 8 millions. The revenue of
this company is increasing years by years.

: May we know where is located the manufacturing factory and customer requirement for their project?

: For marketing, our product are depend on the customer requirement and needed in their project. The
sensor also must have in every device for to control the device. For the manufacturing, our manufacture
design was located at Kuala Lumpur. Our company at Penang was functioning as the supplies to the
customers around Penang.

1. The special warranty period given to the regular customer. In case if it was from the human error or
mistake from customer side, we (dpStar Thermo Control Electric Sdn Bhd) are do not give the new product.
However, if the product was broken/error or not functioning properly, we will give the new product to
our customer. If our customers want from our side to install completely the whole devices, the cost was
not include the device. It was must be depend on the installation part of the devices required.

2. So far, we do not have any problems or complaints from our customers. Mostly our customers are so
nice and satisfied with our services. Mostly the customers come here have the problem regarding the
design, so we provide them our services nicely. For example, our company installed the heater for their
project to solve problem. The first thing is must have sensor then need controller to control the parameter
(temperature) and heater inside the device to heat up the water.

3. Yes. Of course we aware and take serious about the latest technology found in the market. Not only
that, in our manufacturing factory, we have the latest and newest technology which are more advanced
in the manufacturing where is located at Kuala Lumpur. Our special machine were imported from oversea
such as from Japan and United Stated.

4. The reason why mostly market does not provide the ideal solution is the application sources regarding
the marketing need to be upgrade. This is because easily for the customers to know what kind of product
their needed. For the solution in our company, we not only sale our products to customers but sale other
devices regarding the electronic device supplies. So far, we get a very good feedback from our customers
and no complaint receive from them also regarding the product. One of the project we have handled was
project from USM, we manufacture production line (Chemical part) in the USM.
