ACMS plus(Auto Channel Memory System and Station Labeling) function makes a TV set automatically
search all the active channels and to store the names of broadcasting stations by VPS and PDC information.
This makes it possible to display a station name on the screen and to edit programs.
The Comb filter separates the color information from luminance signal to avoid cross color on the luminance(Y)

1. Press SETUP in the stop or playback mode, and the SETUP menu is displayed.
2. Press △,▽ key to select the desired menu, and Title is changed by the selected menu.
3. While main menu has the cursor(highlighted in yellow), the 3rd depth window shows the currently selected values
for the corresponding sub menu items.
4. Press ▷ key to move the current Cursor into 2nd depth window.
5. Press SETUP or PLAY key to exit the Setup Menu at any time.
It results in resume stop condition by SETUP exit, and resume play condition by PLAY exit.
Language Setup
1. When the 1st item in main menu is highlighted as shown below, and “LANGUAGE” appears on Title window.
2. In Language Setup you can select the languages of OSD, Disc Audio, Disc Subtitle, and Disc Menu separately.
Assuming the cursor is within the 2nd depth window as shown in figure,
1. Press △,▽ key to select the desired sub menu item,
and then 3rd depth window shows alternatives belong to the selected one.
2. Press ▷ key to move the cursor into the 3rd depth window.
3. After step 2, press ◁ key then the cursor moves back into the menu window.
4. Press SETUP or PLAY key to exit the Setup Menu at any time.
Assuming the cursor is within the 3rd depth window as shown in figure,
1. Press △,▽ key to move the cursor on the desired one of items in the 3rd depth windows
and press SELECT/ENTER key to select setting.
2. Otherwise, without pressing SELECT/ENTER key, press ◁ key,
then the cursor moves back into the 2nd depth window without any change.
3. Press SETUP or PLAY key to exit the Setup Menu at any time.
1. Select the 2nd item in main menu to setup the Display. Then “DISPLAY” appears on Title window.
2. In Display Setup you can select TV Aspect Ratio, Display Mode, Progressive Scan On/Off.
3. “Display Mode” , which is a sub menu item, includes Letterbox and Panscan.
“Display Mode” item is active only when TV Aspect ratio is 4:3.
When TV Aspect ratio is 16:9, it is inactive(gray colored) and the cursor moves skipping it.
4. Press SETUP or PLAY key to exit the Setup Menu at any time.
1. Move and place the cursor using △,▽,◁,▷ key as shown in <figure 1> to turn on Progressive Scan
and then press SELECT/ENTER key.
2. Progressive Scan becomes turned on, and the message box for confirmation appears on screen as shown in <figure 2>.
At initial the cursor is placed on “Cancel” button.
3. To maintain Progressive Scan on press ◁,▷ key to select “Enter” button and press SELECT/ENTER key.
4. If 10 seconds pass without key input at step 2, the message box disappears and Progressive Scan comes back to OFF.
5. Assuming the situation that the connected TV is not progressive compatible but Player’s progressive scan is on,
the method as above is of no use because the screen is scrambled.
To avoid this danger we provide a hidden method which can turn off Progressive scan with one key.
In stop status with Setup Menu off, press STOP key and hold for 5 seconds then Progressive scan comes to OFF.
1. Select the 3rd item in main menu to setup the Audio. Then “AUDIO” appears on Title window.
2. In Audio Setup you can select Dolby Digital, DTS, MPEG, Sample Freq., 5.1 Speaker Setup, DRC, and Vocal.
3. Press SETUP or PLAY key to exit the Setup Menu at any time.

• Range: The volumes of speakers except Front L/R are adjustable from –10 dB to 0 dB with 1 dB step.

• Test order is Front L -> Center -> Front R -> Rear R -> Rear L -> Sub Woofer repeatedly.
• The speaker selected as None is skipped.
1. Select the 4th item in main menu to setup the Locking related things. Then “LOCK” appears on Title window.
2. In Lock Setup you can select Rating, Password, and Country Code.
3. If no password is registered, the initial screen looks as in <figure 1>.
If a password is registered, the initial screen looks as in <figure 2>.
4. Press SETUP or PLAY key to exit the Setup Menu at any time.
1. Select Country Code of sub menu items to change country code setting.
2. Press ▷ key to enter the 3rd depth menu.
If no password is registered, the input box named “New” will be appear, which forces you to register the password .
The procedure for password registering is the same as in Password Setup of sub menu.
3. When password is registered successfully the cursor appears on the first character box in the 3rd depth window.
Select the first character using △,▽ key.
According as the first character is changed, the second character is changed automatically for country code to be first one
of predefined Country Code set, which starts with the first character entered.
4. Shift the cursor using ▷ key and select the second character using △,▽ key.
At this time the first character you entered is fixed.
The second one is limited to characters which compose one of the predefined country code set together with the first
character .
5. Press SELECT/ENTER key to confirm your country code selection.
6. Only when the country code of the loaded disc coincides with one you entered, the parental rating is effective.
1. Select Country Code of sub menu items to change country code setting.
2. Press ▷ key to enter the 3rd depth menu.
When you have already entered a password, the input box named “Password” will be appear, which requires the password.
Enter a 4-digit password using the numbered button to confirm the personal 4-digit security password, then press
SELECT/ENTRER key.
3. If your entered password is valid, the cursor appears on the first character box in the 3rd depth window.
Select the first character using △,▽ key.
4. The same as step 4~ 6 in case of changing country code when no password is registered.

1. Press SCAN key or press and hold SKIP key for about 2 seconds. The player go into 2x scan mode.
2. Repeat step 1 to select the speed of scan( Reverse 2x,4x,8x or Forward 2x,4x,8x).
3. To exit Scan mode, press PLAY key.

Repeat Track/ALL/Off
1. To repeat the track currently playing, press REPEAT key. The Repeat icon and “TRACK” mark appears on the menu screen.
2. To repeat all tracks on a disc, press REPEAT key again. The Repeat icon and “ALL” mark appears on the menu screen.
Repeat-All mode covers all tracks on a disc, not within current folder.
3. To cancel Repeat mode, press REPEAT key once more, The repeat icon and “TRACK” or “ALL” mark disappears on the menu screen.
Random
1. Press RANDOM key during playback or when playback is stopped. The player begins Random playback and “RANDOM” mark appears
on the menu screen.
Random mode covers all tracks on a disc, not within current folder.
2. To return to normal playback, press RANDOM again. “RANDOM” mark disappears on the menu screen.
3D Surround
1. Press SOUND key to select 3D sound effect. “3D SOUND” mark appears on the menu screen.
2. To turn off the 3D sound effect, press SOUND key again. “3D SOUND” mark disappears.
The view of media type selection tab varies depending on which media type files the loaded disc includes.
All cases are as follows.
When the disc has two or more types of files, tab combination appears and the desired tab is selected using TITLE key.
In respect of UI MP3 and WMA are the same. Thus the both are regarded as one in media type tab.

MP3, WMA, JPEG browser manage all tracks(or files more generally) attached index number.
This index number is used at play list and current track number indicator.

2. When the folders and files exist together, the files are indexed ahead.
3. The files of folder which appears ahead are indexed ahead of the ones of the other folders.

Pause
1. Press PAUSE during playback
2. To return to playback, press PLAY or PAUSE key again.
Scan
1. Press SCAN key or press and hold SKIP key for about 2 seconds. The player go into 2x scan mode.
2. Repeat step 1 to select the speed of scan (Reverse 2x,4x,8x or Forward 2x,4x,8x).
3. To exit Scan mode, press PLAY key.

Repeat Track/ALL/Off
1. To repeat the track currently playing, press REPEAT key. The Repeat icon and “TRACK” mark appears on the menu screen.
2. To repeat all tracks on a disc, press REPEAT key again. The Repeat icon and “ALL” mark appears on the menu screen.
3. To cancel Repeat mode, press REPEAT key once more, The repeat icon and “TRACK” or “ALL” mark disappears on the menu screen.
Repeat A-B
1. Press A-B at your chosen starting point. Repeat icon and “A” mark appears on the menu screen.
2. Press A-B at your chosen end point. The Repeat icon and “A-B” mark
3D Surround
1. Press SOUND key to select 3D sound effect. “3D SOUND” mark appears on the menu screen.
2. To turn off the 3D sound effect, press SOUND key again. “3D SOUND” mark disappears.

1. You can start Slide Show and select its speed in the Slide show menu between Play List and Preview window.
2. Press △,▽, ◁,▷ key to highlight the SlideShow on the menu, then press SELECT/ENTER key.
and you can view slide show of all JPEG files.
3. Press △,▽, ◁,▷ keys to highlight the Speed option then press ◁,▷ key to select the option you want to use,
and then SELECT/ENTER key.
There are three viewing Slide speed options: Fast, Normal, Slow, and OFF.

4. The full screen picture of slide show shows its information at the bottom middle side which includes picture number of total,
the filename, the file size in Bytes.
5. To stop viewing at any time, press RETRUN or STOP key. JPEG menu appears.
DISPLAY,△,▽,◁,▷,ENTER,Numeric key
1. When you press the ‘display’ button in Remote control, GUI picture will be displayed on the MPEG video data
while playing DVD disc. In this case, other OSD which already displayed left-upper side will be cleared at first.
2. After ‘GUI’ is displayed and there is no action ( no user operation, no button activated ), the GUI will
be disappeared automatically after 10 seconds.
3. Normally, if it is first time to display GUI, highlight will be enable ‘Title’ or ‘Track’ area, but if
the GUI already displayed once or more, the highlight will be located on previous location.That means,
highlight location should be memorized before the player goes to open state or power off state.
4. You can make any button be highlighted with UP & Down button and special
keys(Audio,Sound,Title,Subtitle,Angle) corresponding to the buttons. For example, If subtitle button is
selected, you would like to make Audio button be highlighted and selected,you can do it with Up button
assuming that GUI display on the MPEG video data.
5. From top item ( Title or track ) to bottom item ( sound ), or from bottom to top item, up and down arrow
button will be work as wrap around.
6. If you press ‘display’ button while GUI is displayed, the GUI will disappear as soon as possible. In stop state,
if the user press ‘Display’ button, just ‘Title’ item will be shown only. It can be possible to Title play on stop
state. In case of VCD or SVCD, whole GUI will be shown and track search is possible if the disc is VCD1.0 or
PBC mode is off. But any other action is not allowed. ( Ex, Up or Down allow button to move highlight. )
7. Press the STOP, OPEN, MENU, TITLE KEY directly in GUI Mode, and the GUI Icon is cleared first.
8. When you make any button be highlighted with Up & Down and help GUI is displaying from lower part of
the screen.

1.This item will displays current chapter and total chapters of current title in case of DVD.
2. If total chapter number is smaller than 10, please follows following rules.
-. If the user press some number which is smaller than total chapter of the disc,
search that chapter as soon as possible.
-. If the user press some number which is lager that total chapter of the disc,
ignore the key and no action.
3. If total chapter number is larger than 10, please follows following rules.
For example, the disc has 30 chapters.
-. If the user press number larger than ‘3’(not include ‘3’), just search that chapter .
-. If the user press number smaller that ‘3’(include ‘3’), display ‘number’ and wait 3 seconds.
And if the user press some number within 3 seconds, display total number and search it.
Ex) Current title is ’19’ -> User press ‘2’ -> Display ‘2/30’ – User press ‘5’ -> Display ’25/30’
-> Search title 25.
- If the user don’t press any button within 3 seconds after first digit number pressed,
just search first input number.
4. If total input number is larger than chapter number, ignore first pressed number and
search second pressed number.
Ex) Current chapter is ’15’ -> User press ‘3’ -> Display ‘3/30’ – User press ‘5’ -> Display ’5/30’
-> Search title 5.
5. If the user press left or right button, current chapter number will increase(decrease) by one,
and if the user press ‘Enter’ button within 3 seconds, it will search chapter .
If it passed 3 seconds, it also search that chapter automatically.
6. If the user press right button on last chapter or press left button on first chapter ,no
action will be activated.
7. If chapter search is block by the disc(UOP), just displays ‘Prohibit’ mark on right-upper side
if the user press some numbers or arrow button

1. In case of DVD, total elapse time will be displayed and track elapse time will be displayed in case of VCD.
2. If highlight is located on this item, ‘-:--:--’ will be displayed in stead of time in case of DVD disc.

3. No time search is allowed in case of VCD. So this item will not be selected with highlight.
( Highlight will skip to next item – ‘Audio’ or ‘Track’ )
4. If the user press some button when highlight is located on this item,
< Pic 2 > the pressed number will be be displayed from right to left and ‘-’ will be changed as ‘0’. ( Please refer to 'pic2' )
5. If the user press ‘Enter’ button after input the number button, start time search function if input
< Pic 3 > number is valid. If it is invalid time, just display again ‘-:--:--’.
7. If the user press ‘Clear’( Cancel ) button while input some numbers, just display again ‘-:--:--’.
8. If time search is blocked by disc ( UOP ) or there is no time map, and if the user press number
while it displays ‘-:--:--’, just display ‘Prohibit’ mark and no action will be allowed.
9. If the user press the number more than 5 digit, first input number will be disappeared.
Ex) If the user press the numbers as 1,1,3,5,2,2, it will displays 1:35:22.
10. The number is allowed when it follows normal time display method. That means, if the user
press 1:22:76, it will be ignored and just displays ‘-:--:--’ again.
DISPLAY,AUDIO,△,▽,◁,▷,ENTER,Numeric key
1.‘2’ means that audio stream number which is from ‘1’ to ’8’. It’s up to the disc contents.
2.‘KOR’ means that language code for audio stream. means that audio stream type.
There will be 5 kinds of stream type. Dolby digital, MPEG, DTS, PCM, PPCM.
3. ‘2CH’ means that numbers of channel of this audio stream. LFE will displays as X.1 CH.
For example, if the disc has full audio channel, it will displays as 5.1CH.
4. When this item is highlighted, If the user press right arrow button or ‘Audio’ button,
n+1 stream will be output ( if current stream is n ) and if the user press left arrow button,
< PIC 1 > : DVD
n-1 stream will be out. In this case, Audio stream change should be allowed. If it is not allowed,
just displays ‘Prohibit’ mark on right-upper side.
5. If the stream is last stream, it will goes to first stream if the user press right arrow button.
The left arrow button at first stream makes stream changing to last one. ( Wrap around )
7. If the highlight is not located on ‘Audio’ item and the user press ‘Audio’ button, the highlight
< PIC 2 > : VCD/SVCD moves to ‘Audio’ item without changing audio stream. ( DVD and VCD/SVCD with same way )
This operation should be work regardless of UOP block.
8. If there is no GUI display and the user press ‘Audio’ button while playing, only Audio item displays
by itself without changing audio stream( Just show current status).
( DVD and VCD/SVCD with same way )If the user press Audio button again, audio stream will be changed.
If audio change is not allowed, just display ‘Prohibit’ mark on right-upper side.
9. In case of VCD, ‘Audio’ item just shows audio output type like as Stereo -> Left-> Right.
( Wrap around ) Stereo means just outputs original audio.
Left means that it outputs left channel through both left and right channel.
Right means that it outputs right channel through both left and right channel.
This rule will apply to ‘CDDA’ also.
10. Audio stream change is allowed when the player is PLAY state. In pause/slow/scan mode, this
operation will shows Prohibit mark.
DISPLAY,SUBTITLE,△,▽,◁,▷,ENTER,Numeric key
1. ‘1’ means that subtitle stream number which is from ‘1’ to ’32’. It’s up to the disc contents.
3. When this item is highlighted, If the user press right arrow button or ‘Subtitle’ button,
n+1 stream will be output ( if current stream is n ) and if the user press left arrow button,
n-1 stream will be out. In this case, Subtitle stream change should be allowed. If it is not allowed,
just displays ‘Prohibit’ mark on right-upper side.
4. If the stream is last stream, it will goes to first stream and subtitle turn off if the user press right
arrow button. The left arrow button at ‘OFF’ makes stream changing to last one with turn on. ( Wrap around )
6. If the highlight is not located on ‘Subtitle’ item and the user press ‘Subtitle’ button, the highlight
moves to ‘Subtitle’ item without changing subtitle stream. This operation should be work regardless of UOP block.
7. If there is no GUI display and the user press ‘Subtitle’ button while playing, only Subtitle item
displays by itself without changing subtitle stream ( Just show current status).
If subtitle change is not allowed, just display ‘Prohibit’ mark on right-upper side.
8. Subtitle stream change is allowed when the player is PLAY and slow state.
In pause/scan mode, this operation will shows Prohibit mark.
DISPLAY,ANGLE,SOUND,△,▽,◁,▷,ENTER,Numeric key
1. This item shows current angle number and total number of angles of this title in case of DVD.
2. When this item is highlighted, If the user press right arrow button or ‘Angle’ button,
n+1 angle video will be shown ( if current angle is n ) and if the user press left arrow button,
< Angle > n-1 angle video will be shown. In this case, Angle change should be allowed.
If it is not allowed, just displays ‘Prohibit’ mark on right-upper side.
3. If the angle is last one, it will goes to first angle if the user press right arrow button.
The left arrow button at first angle makes angle changing to last one. ( Wrap around )
4. If the highlight is not located on ‘Angle’ item and the user press ‘Angle’ button, the highlight
moves to ‘Angle’ item without changing angle number. This operation should be work regardless of UOP block.
5. If there is no GUI display and the user press ‘Angle’ button while playing , only Angle item
displays by itself without changing angle number ( Just show current status).
6. If angle change is not allowed, just display ‘Prohibit’ mark on right-upper side.
1. This item will displays current surround mode as NORM. and 3D SUR. ( Default is NORM. )
2. If the user press RIGHT or LEFT or SOUND ( If it is ) button, it will change surround mode as toggle.
< Sound >
3. This surround mode will be maintained until the player goes to open state or power off mode.
Surround mode change is allowed when the player is PLAY state. In pause/slow/scan mode, this
operation will shows Prohibit mark.
4. If there is no GUI display and the user press ‘Sound button while playing , only Sound item
displays by itself without changing sound type ( Just show current status).
If sound mode change is not allowed, just display ‘Prohibit’ mark on right-upper side.
Repeat
Repeat
1. If you select Repeat key, Chapter, Title and Off Mode GUI Icon is displayed orderly.
If the Chapter or Title is selected, the selected Chapter or Title is playbacked repeatedly.
In the case of VCD, TRACK, All and Off Mode GUI Icon is displayed.(VCD 1.O / SVCD of PBC Off mode is applied)
2. If you want to return to normal play, press Repeat key several time until “OFF” is displayed.
3. In cases of Track or Chapter repeat, If you select Skip(+,-), Repeat Mode is released.
A-B Repeat
1. Press A-B Repeat key, and “A *” , “A B”, Off Mode GUI Icon is displayed orderly.
If A, B point are selected, and play is repeated between A point and B point.
2. In A-B Repeat Search, REPEAT MODE GUI is displayed.
3. Although you press SKIP, SLOW, SCAN key after selecting A point, A point is not exited and Clear Key make A point exited.
4. “A *” Mode GUI Icon is displayed until B point is selected but “A B”, Off Mode GUI Icon is displayed for 3 seconds.
5. If the A-B Repeat period is exceeded by Skip, Scan, SLOW key Repeat Mode is exited and Off Mode GUI Icon is displayed.
6. Press AB Repeat key in the state of the AB Repeat playback, A-B Repeat playback is exited.
7. In the case of VCD 1.0/VCD 2.0, A-B Repeat period Spec is 800ms ±600ms.
8. In the case of Super-VCD, A-B Repeat period Spec is ±1 sec.
MARKER
Using Condition :
1. Not the stop Menu picture with the HIGHLIGHT Information.
2. This function is operated in the same VTS.

1. Press Marker key during play at the starting point to be viewed or listened to again, and the marker
is stored in the memory.
2. Press Marker key more at another point to be viewed or listened to again, and another marker is stored
in the memory.

SEARCH ,△,▽,◁,▷,Select
Using Condition :
1. Prohibited without the MARKER points
2. Not Zoom-In Mode
a) If the user press ‘Search’ button while playing, this OSD will be shown with cursor on ‘1’ .
b) If the user press ‘Search’ button when ‘Marker-search’ OSD already displayed, this OSD will be
disappeared.
c) If there is no memorized position, prohibit mark will be shown.
d) The user can select the position with arrow ( Right/Left ) button.
e) If the user press ‘Enter’ button, it will search the memorized position and this OSD will be
disappeared.
f) If there are just 4 position and the cursor located on ‘4’, and the user press right button, this
key will be ignored. ( Do Not wrap around )
g) If the user press ‘Clear’ button when the highlight located on some number, that data will be deleted
and right side of numbers will be shifted left.
h) If the last number is deleted, the highlight will be moved to left side.
ZOOM,△,▽,◁,▷,Select
Using Condition :
1. Not the stooped Menu and the moving picture Menu with the HIGHLIGHT Information, but the playback picture.
2. TITLE DOMAIN
1. Press ZOOM key, and x4 ZOOM BOX is displayed in the center of the playbacked picture

2. Press PLAY key in the state of Resume Stop, and Resume operation begins.
3. Press PLAY key in the state of Resume Stop, and Title1 Chapter1 is playback begins from the Title 1 Chapter 1.

5. Press STOP key in playing, and playback is stopped and Resume data is stored in the memory and “” is displayed at Function GUI.
6. Press Stop key in the state of Resume Stop, and Resume data is cleared and “” is displayed at Function GUI.
7. In operating POWER-ON and CLOSE, STOP is prohibited until the first picture begins.
PAUSE
Pause
1. Press PAUSE key during playback, and the player will be placed in the still picture mode(in DVD/VCD) or in the pause mode(in CD).
2. Press PLAY key in the pause/still picture mode, and playback begins.
3. Each time you press PAUSE/STEP key, the picture advances one frame in DVD and VCD only.
5. PAUSE/STEP function is not serviced in Stop mode and the prohibition icon is not displayed.
-SKIP/+SKIP
1. Press +SKIP key during play, and the next CHAPTER is playbacked.
2. Press –SKIP key during play, and the first place of the current CHAPTER is playbacked.
3. Press –SKIP key continuously during play, and the first place of the previous CHAPTER is playbacked.
4. Press +SKIP key during SLOW, SCAN Mode or PHAUSE Mode, the next CHAPTER is playbacked normally.
5. Press -SKIP key during SLOW, SCAN Mode or PHAUSE Mode, the first place of the current CHAPTER is playbacked normally.
6. In DVD, SKIP operation is not serviced in STOP mode, and the prohibiting icon is not displayed.
7, In CD and VCD, SKIP mode is selected by the (+/-)SKIP key of the SKIP key and SELECT key.
8. In changing the Title No. by SKIP key, the MODE GUI of the CHAPTER is not displayed but Title is displayed.

1. Press PAUSE key during playback and turn SHUTTLE key to the right, and the playback speed becomes lower than normal playback speed.
2. In DVD, Press PAUSE key during playback and turn SHUTTLE key to the left, and the direction of the slow playback becomes opposite.
3. In VCD 1.0 / VCD 2.0 / Super-VCD, SLOW mode is not serviced and the prohibition icon is displayed.
4. In DVD, the playback speed is changed by the angle of the SHUTTLE key.
6. If you let the SHUTTLE key go SLOW mode is changed to PAUSE mode and then if you press the PLAY key the playback becomes normal.
9. In VCD and Super-VCD, SLOW mode of the opposite direction is not operated.
10. In CD, SLOW mode is not serviced and the prohibition icon is not displayed.
SHUTTLE KEY

1. Turn SHTTLE key into the right, and the playback speed becomes faster.
2. Turn SHUTTLE key into the left, and the playback speed becomes faster to the opposite direction.
3. SCAN speed is changed by the angle of SHUTTLE key. ( there is 5 different speeds in DVD )
