1) It develops critical thinking abilities and other
maths related skills. 2) It arouses and maintains the interest of students in Mathematics by presenting it in a fun and easy to learn manner. 3) It provides a positive learning environment without the stresses of an official grading system. 4) It provides students with the opportunity to solicit aid from Math students at higher grade levels. 5) It provides a platform for social networking between students of different Math Clubs. 6) It presents opportunities for students to participate in Math oriented competitions. 7) It fosters the holistic development of students in order to benefit the the wider Jamaican society. 8) Introduces younger students to concepts they will learn in a later grade.
