INTRODUCCION
La mejora principal que ofrece la placa MDS-DIRECT, en comparación con las del sistema MDS-DIGITAL, es la de
funcionar sin ningún tipo de unidad central. El sistema MDS-DIRECT puede combinarse también con los sistemas
MDS-DIGITAL y MDS-CITY ofreciendo la posibilidad de trabajar como Entrada General en combinación con
bloques MDS-CITY.
Esta placa está dotada de un teclado de marcación que permite la apertura de la puerta, al introducir un código
personalizado.
Es posible la programación de hasta 600 códigos personalizados diferentes.
Generalmente se entrega uno de estos códigos a cada uno de los usuarios del sistema.
Los usuarios utilizarán su código o códigos personales para realizar la apertura de puerta.
Al tratarse de códigos personalizados, podemos impedir en cualquier momento el uso de alguno de ellos por parte
de un determinado usuario sin más que borrar el código del sistema.
La gestión de todos estos códigos personalizadados (altas, bajas, etc.) las realizará el administrador del sistema.

Con el fin de facilitar la utilización, instalación y la gestión de este equipo, este manual está dividido en tres
apartados:
SECCION I: MANUAL DEL INSTALADOR

En esta sección se indican todos los pasos y precauciones a seguir para la correcta instalación de este equipo,
dejándolo en condiciones de funcionar en su configuración básica (realizar llamadas y ser atendidas, abrir la
puerta, modificación de ciertos parámetros tales como la duración de la activación del abrepuertas o la duración de
la conversación ... etc.).
Las funciones asociadas al control de acceso sólo estarán operativas tras la intervención del administrador del
sistema.
SECCION II: MANUAL DEL ADMINISTRADOR

Este equipo está dotado de ciertas funciones de control de acceso que estarán operativas tras la intervención del
administrador del sistema.
Denominamos administrador a la persona que se encargará de realizar todas estas programaciones y llevar un
control de los códigos entregados a cada uno de los usuarios, con el fín de poder darlos de baja o modificarlos en
el caso en que sea necesario. Se adjunta una tabla para facilitar este trabajo.

Se explica el manejo de este equipo por parte de los usuarios, es decir cada una de las personas que, de alguna
manera u otra, van a utilizar el sistema.

Aconsejamos realizar la configuración inicial según los siguientes pasos:

Para entrar en modo programación siempre tendremos que realizar estos pasos, de esta forma
accederemos al MENU PRINCIPAL. A partir del Menú Principal podemos acceder a los diferentes
MENUS SECUNDARIOS según la opción escogida.

NOTAS:
9 El segundo Código de Programación 19025 se puede cambiar por otro. Ver punto «Cambio de
Código de Programación». El primer Código de Programación NO se puede cambiar.
En el primer código de programación A%21A% , la lóngitud de éste puede variar en función
del numero de dígitos escogidos para el sistema. Ver punto «Asignación Número de Dígitos».
Independientemente del número de dígitos escogidos para el sistema, el segundo código de
programación 19025 será siempre de 5 dígitos.
SALIR DE PROGRAMACION O DE CUALQUIER OTRO MENU

Para salir del Modo Programación, del Menú Principal o de los diferentes Menús Secundarios,
pulsaremos la tecla campana % , tantas veces (pulsaciones) como sea necesario. %

La placa puede funcionar entres idiomas distintos, Español, Inglés y Francés, según se elija 1, 2 ó
3 respectivamente. Seleccione el idioma deseado tal y como se explica a continuación.

La configuración de las placas dependerá del funcionamiento que vayan a realizar en el sistema.
Placas de Entrada General

Son las que se instalan en las Entradas Generales de una Urbanización.

En el caso en que la urbanización tenga más de una Entrada General (varias placas), se tendrá
que asignar un número de placa a cada una de ellas, realizando los pasos que a continuación se
detallan. Estos pasos se repetirán por cada una de las diferentes placas de Entrada General.

NOTAS MUY IMPORTANTES:

9 Si en la instalación existe Entrada/s General/es y Conserjería MDS Direct, la placa/placas de
Entrada General deben estar programadas desde el número 1 en adelante. NUNCA deben
estar programadas con el valor 0.
Debe tenerse en cuenta lo mismo, si se combinan las placas MDS Direct con placas MDS
Digital o Mds City, (no programarlas con valor 0).
NUNCA debe repetirse el mismo número en diferentes placas de Entrada General.

PROGRAMACION DE DECODERS
Los Decoders han de ser programados con un código de 4 dígitos que vaya desde el 0001 al 9999,
que identifican a cada una de las viviendas de la urbanización.
De estos 4 dígitos los 2 primeros corresponden al Número de Bloque donde está instalado el
decoder y los 2 últimos al Número de Vivienda.
NOTA :
9 Los 2 primeros dígitos correspondientes a los teléfonos conectados a cualquier placa de un
bloque deben coincidir con ese número de bloque.

Existen diferentes formas de programar los decoders según la opción escogida, tal y como se
explica a continuación:

Pulsando ‘1’ podremos programar cada salida de un decoder individualmente.
Para ello pulsaremos el botón de programación del decoder, una vez selecciona-

Mediante la opción ‘3’ podemos cambiar el número asignado a un teléfono:el

sistema preguntará el número actual (pulsamos ‘’ para aceptarlo). Si el teléfo-
no no existe, se generará un mensaje de error. Si el número existe, se nos pedirá
el nuevo número para ese teléfono. Lo introduciremos y validaremos con ‘’.

tamente. Esto se puede hacer de 2 formas distintas:
* Manual, se necesitan dos personas (una recorriendo la instalación teléfono a
teléfono y otra en la placa asignando los números).
* Automática, que sólo requiere una persona. El sistema pregunta el número de
inicial, y asigna los números consecutivamente a los teléfonos requeridos.
Básicamente, el principio de operación es el mismo en ambos casos: pulsando

el abrepuertas . Si queremos salir de este modo, pulsaremos ‘’.
NOTA :
9 Desde placa MDS DIRECT, no se pueden programar Decoders de Relés ni Decoders de
Sensores, ni Decoders de Placas.

Este menú establece los parámetros operativos utilizados por la placa MDS-CITY: Número de
Placa (1..9), Número de Bloque (0..99), Tiempo de Apertura de Puerta (0..9), Tiempo de Coversación
(1..3). Consulte el manual de PLACAS MDS-City para más información.
Para utilizar esta función, selecciónela y presione el botón de programación de la placa MDS-CITY
que va a programarse. El sistema permitirá modificar directamente todos los campos ‘ ’.

GENERALIDADES
Una vez instalado el equipo ya es posible programar los parámetros correspondientes a las funciones de control de
acceso.
Al final de este capítulo se adjunta una Tabla de Usuarios en la cual se pueden indicar todos los datos de cada uno
de los usuarios.
Denominaremos administrador a la persona encargada de realizar este trabajo.
Se aconseja realizar la programación de «Funciones de Control de Acceso», siguiendo los pasos en el orden
establecido en este manual.
Antes de empezar a programar dichas funciones se explicará como se entra y sale de programación, ya que
siempre se realiza de la misma forma.
Los pasos a realizar para programar las «Funciones de Control de Acceso» vienen explicados a partir del Menú
Principal. Para llegar al Menú Principal siempre seguiremos los pasos detallados en «Entrar en Programación».
ENTRAR EN PROGRAMACION
Para entrar en modo programación siempre tendremos que realizar estos pasos, de esta forma

9 Para introducir un nuevo código, seleccionaremos la opción ‘1’. El sistema nos pedirá un
código de 6 dígitos, independientemente de la selección de número de dígitos. De este modo,
nos aseguramos que, en caso de cambio a más dígitos, los no empleados tengan un valor
conocido.
• Borrar un Código de Acceso

Para dar de baja los códigos que no deseemos que permanezcan en el sistema. Se borrarían uno
a uno.
Seleccionando la opción ‘2’, podremos eliminar un código de la memoria. Para ello, los iremos
visualizando por medio de las teclas ‘1’ y ‘2’, pulsando ‘A’ si queremos eliminar uno, o bien ‘’ para
regresar al menú de códigos.

• Modificar un Código de Acceso
Para modificar el código de apertura de puerta de algún usuario del sistema.
Mediante la opción ‘3’ podremos cambiar un código en memoria. Para ello, una vez seleccionado
con las teclas ‘1’ y ‘2’, pulsaremos ‘A’, escribiremos el nuevo código, y validaremos con ‘’. Pulsa-
remos ‘’ para salir de esta opción.

INTRODUCTION
The main enhancement offered by the MDS-DIRECT Panel, compared with those of the MDS-DIGITAL system, is that
it operates with no central unit. The MDS-DIRECT system can also be combined with MDS-DIGITAL and MDS-CITY
systems, offering the possibility of functioning as General Entrance in combination with MDS-CITY blocks.
This panel has a dialling keypad that enables door opening when a personalised code is entered.
It is possible to input up to 600 different personalised codes .
Generally, one of these codes is given to each system user.
The users may use their personal code or codes to open the door.
As all codes are customised, we can prevent the use of any of them by a given user at any time simply by erasing the
code from the system.
Management of all these personalised codes (activation, deactivation, etc.) will be carried out by the system adminis-
trator.
To facilitate the utilisation, installation and management of this equipment, this manual is divided into three sections:

In this section, all the steps and precautions to be taken for the correct installation of the equipment are indicated, leaving
it in operational conditions in its basic configuration (make calls, open the door, modification of certain parameters such
as door open activation timings or conversation duration ... etc.).

SECTION II: ADMINISTRATOR MANUAL

This equipment has certain access control functions that will be operative after the intervention of the system administrator.
The administrator is the person assigned to carry out all the programmings and keep a check on the codes provided
to each of the users so as to be able to deactivate or modify them whenever necessary.
A table is included to facilitate these tasks.

Decoders must be programmed with 4-digit codes ranging from 0001 to 9999, to identify each dwelling
in the Residential Zone.
Of these 4 digits, the first 2 correspond to the Block Number where the decoder is installed and the last
2 to the Apartment Number.
NOTE :
9 The first 2 digits corresponding to the telephones connected to any Block Panel must coincide
with that Block Number.

* Manual, two people are required (one to go over the installation phone by phone

Basically, the operating principle is the same in both cases: pressing the open door
button . If you wish to exit this mode, just press ‘’.
NOTE :
9 Relay Decoders, Panel Decoders and Sensor Decoders CANNOT be programmed from MDS
DIRECT panels.

GENERAL FEATURES
Once the equipment is installed it is possible to program the parameters corresponding to the access control functions.
At the end of this chapter there is a User Table where all the data referring to each of the users can be indicated.
The person in charge of performing this task is designated the Administrator.

It is advisable to carry out the «Access Control Functions» programming by following the steps in the order set out in this
manual.
Before starting to program these functions, we shall explain how to enter and exit programming mode, as this is always
done in the same way.
The steps for programming «Access Control Functions» are explained starting out from the Main Menu. To reach the
Main Menu, always follow the instructions listed in «Enter Programming Mode».
ENTER PROGRAMMING MODE

To enter programming mode you always have to take these steps to access the MAIN MENU. From
the Main Menu you can access the different SECONDARY MENUS, depending on the option selected.

It is advisable to carry out this operation before starting to input the Access Codes into the system.
This operation must be performed in all the MDS Direct Panels in the system.

You can choose the number of digits that the system will request when an access code is entered.
Select 4, 5 or 6.

9 The MDS Direct Panel lets you program up to 600 access codes.
The length of the primary programming code A%21A% may vary in line with the number of digits
chosen for the system. Depending on the digit selection the code will be as follows:

Regardless of the number of digits selected for the system, the secondary programming code
19025 will always have 5 digits.

NOTE :
9 To enter a new code, select option ‘1’. The system will ask for a 6-digit code regardless of the
number of digits selected. In this way, we can ensure that in the case of changing to more digits,
those not used will have a known value.
• Delete an Access Code

To remove the codes we do not wish to keep in the system. These would be deleted one by one.
Selecting option ‘2’, you can erase a code from the memory. To do this, you can use keys ‘1’ and ‘2’ to
view them, pressing ‘A’ if you wish to delete one, or else ‘’ to return to the code menu.

• Modify an Access Code
To modify the open door code of a system user.
We can change a code in memory by means of option ‘3’. To do so, once selected with keys ‘1’ and
‘2’, press ‘A’, enter the new code and confirm with ‘’. Press ‘’ to exit this option.
